I personally can't see it ever being how it was, even with new bots. Jagex are shit hot on this now.

I don't get how you guys can claim that Botting took the fun away from the game, please explain.

I gained a lot of money from botting, I'd sell 2 accounts for $60 each like every 50 days or so. I'd bot up the skills and go pk, thanks to botting I obtained the stats I wanted to obtain.

 

Tbh it was fun, mass goldfarmers ruined the game not botters. I mean on my main I've botted frost dragons till 99 att/str/def. I wanted to do that so i could pk/monsterhunt etc. I would never have the commitment to train that legit lol

 

There was no challenge. Everyone might as well have had 138 accounts fully maxed, since there no was difference between obtaining it legit and botting it.

I WANTED to play the game to PLAY THE GAME. There was no point since I could just bot my stats..

 

I hope that small scale botting comes back. Not on a large scale, but to a certain degree.

I also dont get why ppl goes to the cheat section and complains about bots.

Small scale botting does exist currently.... SRL has the ability to do anything, it's just the hard part if writing the logic. SRL/Simba sees what you see, it's color based and object oriented. I have been amazed by what my Peers have created to do using only color, and we keep pushing the bar higher and higher as to what we can accomplish.

Small-scale, safe botting has been our community's basis since RSC. Our last ban from color was roughly 5 years ago. We've had in the past people create maxed accounts and currently have members finishing maxing their mains, myself included using Color.

 

I really doubt it. I think it's best that you either play legit or move on to another game that has not combated bots.

Game is much better now without the bots. They destroyed alot if you ask me. Happy to be able to cut a yew for myself

 

I feel like everyone on here is trying to troll. Bots are not what ruined the game. Thousands of gold farmers ruined the game. Any post saying that bots ruined the game from now on out is going to be reported. I'm trying to have an intelligent conversation on the future of botting not some debate on bots ruining the game. You are wrong good sir, they are possible but not easy.

Slayer IS possible, it's just multiple combat procedures, many entries with data for each monster, several paths, and a little Chat. There is actually someone working on a Slayer script currently.

Dungeoneering IS possible, it would just take a lot of very neatly organized data for each individual situation.

If you can do it legit you can do it with color. How do you detect things as a human? By color recognition and shape recognition, both of which SRL/Simba can do.

 

You're completely correct when you say it is possible to code a dungeoneering bot just with color. I just don't think you realize the amount of code needed.

 

In my opinion there will be eventually a new kinda of bot that will totally dominate everything for a while and everything will repeat again.
Jagex does a major update, and no bots for a while, and then some other random bot will show up and everything repeats.
It's always like that in computer stuff.

 

Imo the glory days was pking on classic 2002-2003 and some of 2004 b4 bots swarmed it and people had perfect account pkers (iron pures).

Castle pking was just so awesome and timing to catch people was so fun (again b4 auto catchers came).. If ne1 remembers thse days hats of to ya.. definitely was on dialup and remember ppl would call and i would disconnect and b like omg another r2h gone,

Like everyone else has said, reflection botting was certainly not the glory days.

 

glory days was 2006 when slayer had just been released awesome awesome game
