    Hey guys,

Im preparing everything to open a youtube channel which will be containing commentary videos of video games, unboxing/reviews of electronics, etc....I wanted to create a Intro for all my videos.

    1. What software do you guys use to create these?

    2. Will anyone willing to help me or make me an intro?

    3. What r some good ideas for a quick and fun intro? nothing fancy or has too much, simple and relating to games and/or electronics

    Thanks guys!

    3. I have only ever made one. But it was just Cubes falling on words and then when it hit the words the letters fell outa place and so on like the blocks were actully hitting them

I'll answer with the software, as I haven't done much in the way of intros or general video work for a while so not sure about helping with ideas etc.

Intros tend to be made in programs like after effects. There are some great tuts around on youtube and google which take you step by step through making some basic effects and text transitions which would be more than suitable if you're just starting out.

After effects is the best, it's made specifically for things like this and you can get a lot of amazing plugins to make it even better. Trapcode Particular and just anything by Red Giant is good.

Though, I think just like almost everyone else here Stui has overvalued his skills a little, because $15 is way too much for the effort it takes to make a 10 second intro. Even with my unfamiliarity with C4D I could download a couple of plugins and have an intro made in around 30 minutes, but maybe that is just me. They're easy to make if you understand keyframing and the animation options.

I really like the look of the attractor sphere intros, they're pretty neat.

Well,, i use Adobe Premiere for my videos,, but i reckon After effects is better. I would love to make one for you,, but I'm not so good with video making/editing I've only made like 4 videos so far with premiere

If you could find me a good tutorial i would love to make it for you since i have the full Adobe Master Collection,, i have all the video editing programs basically

In that case, if you're planning on uploading CoD gameplay etc, make it unique and interesting. There are literally a BILLION channels that fail because its the same old formula "hey guys my name is x and today im playing mw3 on map y using gun z". Catch the audiences attention from the start. If you look at all the big Machinima guys, they all have their own unique way of presenting their videos (okay maybe Hutch and Nanners follow the "formula" but they were one of the first to do so with interesting philosophical discussion etc rather than just talking about their gameplays). Stay true to yourself, but also entertain the audience or you won't get anywhere.

Oh and make sure all your videos are in 720p and the absolute best quality you can get them. Get a good microphone also, no one wants to hear static and popping during a commentary (I learnt this the hard way a few years ago). Good luck!

hahaha thanks i thought of this...black magic intensity shuttle is the best quality capture card, 1080p RAW IMAGE, no rendering needed. look up the quality tests, its amazing...and im gna use my Tritton AX Pro's as my mic which is an amazing headset to start off with so ima use it as a mic as well...im gna try to stay away from that bs formula haha

Yeah obviously 1080p is a lot better, but also a whole lot larger in file size. 720p is good enough for the majority of viewers. But if you have a large enough harddrive and want to upload a massive arse video, definitely do it :)
