Trying to remember my old username

I am trying to remember the username to an account I used to use to bot on. The best way I can think of doing this, is by finding it out from my old nexus client. I have the login details saved on the client, however I cannot access the account manager as I cannot run the bot. I still have the config file and things of that nature, so would there be any way to find out the name of this account without actually loading the bot?

If the configuration is plain text you should be able to just open it up and read it if it's there

 

Nexus client>find config folder>Right click 'data' and "open/edit" with notepad ++. Didn't work for me but this was the method advertised on RSBots, it worked for some people.

I know there's a file with account info if you used rsbot or rsbuddy, no idea about nexus, sorry.

 

Do you remember the old botting client you used ?

Go to there website and ask on their forums, someone there will be able to tell you i'm sure.

 

I used the bots from rsbots.net, however there site is now down, so I'm not sure what to do.

Try messaging Nexus and asking them to send you the account usernames?

 

They've closed down.

 

Have you tried using Ctrl+F to find a part of the username and/or password on the notepad file, that is, if you rememebr a part of it, to see if it could just be hidden in there somewhere?

Also, try opening it with just Notepad?

Aye i got similar question. i got few accs on old tutorial island. ive forgotten usernames, but i know passwords are all the same. is there any way i can recover Usernames?

If you used Nexus iBot and saved your account details on it, then you definitely have those details on your computer. It would become difficult if you had set a security question to Nexus iBot.

Try using SQLite Database Browser to read from Nexus iBot folder config file data.db (browse table called 'RichyTSBOT3'), or looking at other tables in that file.

 

Perhaps you could ask Jagex on a list of the user-names on your IP? Not sure if you used a VPN and if Jagex even do that though.
