Well they don't look at your current gp obviously :p

They just see you're been RWTing and reset your cashpiles, regardless of what you have at that moment :)

Idk if you guys do this or not, but you should change your Hardware ID. That's how they track accounts.

Look into it if you don't already, it's worth while.

I think you guys are missing the point here..

As long you're RWTing with direct trades, they can always find you and give you a gp reset, that's just how it works now.

What about duel arena trades where you stake the person the cash?

Read the 2nd page to understand that that's not an option.

It is interesting, either Jagex are becoming more proactive in RWT prevention and removal in relation to gold, OR people are complaining about it more. Based on observations, I think it's the first option and not the latter.

Remember everyone - there is no shame in buying a nice account for yourself and just enjoying the game :) (waits for tomatoes to be thrown)

I got wiped recently 200m. What i recommend to do is use mules/mains and duel arena. I got wiped 200m when i traded from my acc to mate acc, then to mule. Next trade i did 100m with box lvl 138 vs 122. 122 won box, no wipe.

But the point is they don't know if you're breaking the rules or not. For all they know, it could be an active family sharing gold with each other, which is not against the rules. Plus if they've got 4-5 accounts coming in from the same IP, that's a good customer(s) on their end. I doubt they will ever wipe anyone for transferring cash around their own accounts for those two reasons.

Plus, it's been well known by now that very rich players usually keep their wealth spread out among their main and many mules, because in the case of an unfortunate hacking event, they will not lose everything. That's a pretty good excuse to allow account to account interaction in my opinion.

Wow there seems to be a lot of wiping going on. To be honest I'm kinda scared to trade now. I might buy 200-300m soon, and balance-stake it to minimize risk.

Really? It doesn't take superior logic, such as mine, but last time I checked this was a public forum.

Gold trading is perfectly safe. Just has to be done right.

I disagree to a point, Jagex can (I imagine) internally monitor mules and other accounts doing continued large transactions, susequently banning them. Gold trading is not perfectly safe.

Mules also have nothing to do with it.
It doesn't matter at all what accounts you use to RWT with.

Playing devils advocate, how can you prove that?

It makes perfect sense, and won't be beyond Jagex's capabilities to monitor accounts that have a record of suspicious (large) transactions.

I think it's safe to say that I have enough market experience to know this and I have experienced gp resets myself.

I'll say it again: It doesn't matter what type of account you RWT on.

I appriciate your point about the way in which deals are done, and I agree totally that how public some trades may be will have a serious impact on the outcome.

However, if what you are saying is the case, how can you explain the recent surge in re-sets? Is it because traders are becoming more lazy thus being caught out, or is it becasue Jagex are stepping up their efforts?

I personally think the latter, but what do you think?

It's simply because jagex is now actually detecting people who make alot of random unbalanced trades.

The reason some people that only trade once in a while are also being reset is because:

If someone buys gp off a bulk trader, and that bulk trader gets reset, Jagex will also reset some of the buyers that did unbalanced trades with that bulk trader. They will delete the spirit shards, cashpiles and cash in g/e offers that the bulk trader and possibly some buyers have at that moment.

Would the amount of play time per day reduce the risk of getting chargeback?
