Bumps Dont Count toward post count

A bump can be disguised as all sorts of things. There's really no way to filter it such that only bumps would be excluded from post count, and similar suggestions of removing post count from the market or implementing a bump button mod have all been rejected already.

 

As a side note, he is a febuary 2nd 2007 member whiel you are a june 2011 member. He has 6k post count and you ahve 1.6k postcount. If you pick on him it would also include you based on postcount.

 

i said im not picking on any1 its just the people that i thought of off the top of my head

Edit: @ sin, maybe if you could filter out 10 letters and under in a post it wouldnt be counted in postcount?

Yes, but make a rule saying that you can only say, "bump." not bumpity bump or anything like that

 

You could say anything for a free postcount/bump.
People would just resort to "Still selling, updated, online etc."

 

Does it really matter? The way you are putting it, you aren't happy that members are putting half there posts into the Market. And I saw on your "Things you hate about Sythe" thread that you don't like it when members spend almost all there time in the Blackmarket. The point is, it doesn't matter if all of someones posts are in the market or the community.

In fact, after being on Sythe for a bit of time, you learn postcount doesn't matter, and it's just a number at the top right hand corner of your post. We shouldn't restrict someones posts, just because they prefer using a certain part of Sythe.

 

After you hit about 1000 posts it doesnt really matter anymore but the stage newcomer-guru matters.
