what program do you use to make scripts?

TItle says it all. How do I write a script for simba, or what program of java would I use. In class we use Bluej but im not sure if that is the same as what real programmer use. All feedback is welcome and grateful!

 

Two popular IDE's for java programming are eclipse and Netbeans. They are free as well.

 

Simba scripts or Java scripts? Too much difference

I don't script Simba at all, but for Scripts (Made for a bot) I use eclipse.

 

I use eclipse when making java programs.

 

What programs would be needed to make simba scripts because I tihnk you guys said eclipse and netbeans are good for java. I would prefer to make java scripts but I dont know where I would use the script with a client to make the bot run.

Simba is used for Simba scripting. Search around for threads on Simba.

I'm also an eclipse user. It's pretty much in #1 by far. For Java scripting. Eclipse is for Java ONLY unless you do a lot of tweaking..so using eclipse for Simba kind of confuses me..correct me if I'm wrong.

 

I use Dr. Java for small programs/scripts (it's basically notepad with a compiler and syntax highlighting, all you should really need when coding >500 line programs). And Eclipse/Intellij whilst coding 500 line+ programs.

 

Simba scripts are written in Object Pascal. You program Simba scripts in the built-in IDE, which has an extended API for different tasks such as opening web pages, moving the mouse, and other such things.
