Odd Unban

Really not sure where to put this, but it just blows my mind this guy got unbanned..

A person named: NoneofTehAbove was unbanned today. He was banned a bit ago for attempting to scam R2P on PA. Thread can be found here: http://sythe.org/showthread.php?t=1297398.

Earlier he was unbanned some how or another. He attempted to make a buying thread: http://sythe.org/showthread.php?p=10391804#post10391804. I posted on it warning people of his past.

I'm just curious as to how he got unbanned.. In like an hour or two, he had alreayd scammed 150M.. http://sythe.org/showthread.php?t=1328205.

What happened here? Did he get pardoned? Did he dispute? Did somebody accidentally set a wrong ban date?

Please somebody classify as to what happened here.. I don't see how somebody that's an obvious scammer, who was caught for scamming in the past.. Attempting to scam the most known and biggest gold seller around nonetheless. Was unbanned (without a twc) and was able to scam 150m within about 1-2 hours..

I hope this isn't going to be infraction worthy or something of that nature; I'm not trying to stir up anything. This just blows my mind..

 

He got banned already.. but it looks like a major mistake has been made - he should never have been unbanned in the first place.

 

He was re-banned before I made this thread. He was banned from the 150M he scammed.

 

Yeah I realise that. Reading through the chat evidence there are some huge scamming signs. The other guy/girl would have been much better off accepting that he/she got scammed for 50M instead of giving more RSGP in the hope of getting the full amount - which resulted in a 150M scam.

I'm pretty sure it was a glitch because Nick banned him in December and now he got unbanned.

I could have sworn I saw a pardon by him.

 

There's not a person in their right head that would pardon him. Especially all of the upper staff..

 

Perhaps it was a dispute then, but I really do think I saw him somewhere in that section.

 

It doesn't look like anyone lifted the ban. Most likely, it was just a ban duration error. I found a cache that shows his ban was only a temp:

When mods ban a user, they have to select the usergroup and duration from a drop-down menu. If they temp someone and press the back button to enter another name, it assumes the same duration and usergroup by default.
