a bunch of virgins with too much time on their hands and a crazy perspective on how important they actually are...

I've met some of these people who claim to be "anonymous" and they talk like fucking retards...It's a mix between V for Vendetta and Fight Club...

Sure they bring up decent points, but mostly it is stuff any normal person would already know...They act like they are the robin hoods of the internet when in reality they are more like that retarded kid that know one wants to go near because he stinks and might try to punch you...

Anonymous - A bunch of nerd hackers on steroids.

I find it really stupid they hacked Sony for no entire reason, and then they threatened to take down Facebook on Nov 5th 2011 which nothing happened on. I'm pretty sure half the stuff they've been blamed for they had nothing to do with and simply took credit for it so they could look badass.

Don't like them much, don't know why... seems they're trying to look all important and smart when they probably don't do anything.

Coming from an ex OP, Anonymous if full of fucking morons now. Their current reasoning behind operations is decent but they continue to do the most retarded things I've seen. Their constant use of the tug boat LOIC astounds me. They have yet to delve into even elementary, look I can Google search shit knowledge. It's like there is no evolution occurring.

Anonymous used to deliver, always. Anonymous and 4chan (back before every true Anon left) was actually awesome. Now, the only "Anons" left are middle school kids with a lack of drive and must find friendship on the internet as they have no social life.

They've claimed one of their next targets is the most dangerous Mexican drug cartel, Los Zetas... That'll be interesting to see happen lol

You defeated whatever flaming you tried to accomplish as soon as you said "claim to be 'anonymous". Anyone can CLAIM to be whatever they want. I'm sure they had some more than decent brains behind the things they do, just like everyone gang has highschool dropout footsoilders, why wouldn't a "hacking" army have dumb middle school bandwagons?

As far as I know, they've never taken credit for someone else's doings, they normally pop out videos of what they plan to do to begin with. Thus, its obviously not just something they took credit for, considering they've been threatening the people.

My opinion: My guess is there's some brains in it, but indeed the majority is bandwagon middle school kids who've downloaded LOIC. They do make good points, and quite frankly they really are the only "hacking army" that can deliver on the topics that they talk about.

The present true Anonymous members have a great message, and the power to actually assert their message through knowledge. However, they're shrouded by idiots who go around "LOL ANONYMOUS WE R LEGION HEHE". Anyone who buys into these kids' bullshit that *think* they're one with Anonymous, is just as ridiculous and stupid as the kids that do it.

While the only requirement to call yourself an anonymous member is an open mind, you can't be an effective member when you go around "HEHE V FOR VENDETTA OMG <333" as your only motivation.

The ones who stick true, and are hardcore into what they want to be spread are wonderful, and my hat is off to those involved.
Anyone claiming they're "nerds" or "virgins" - kill yourself, please, because they are regular people, like you, who blend into society, and on the side, have hidden political progressive power that you could only dream to have.

Also, anyone who thinks ALL 4chan visitors are Anonymous members - also, commit suicide, thank you.

They claimed that they would be attacking the Zetas quite a while ago (I'd say October or November) and they failed miserably at getting any support.

While most people think Anonymous are stupid, they arent.
I bet they are smarted and better with computers than 99% of us.
And their message of we are legion, we do not forgive and such, that is just to send out a wave of 'power'.
    Basicaly scaring the opponents :p

While not all their deeds are done well, I think they only try to achieve a better internet, a better network. I think Anonymous do their job pretty well.

@realsies: In a small way they are the robin hoods of the internet.
Just not all motives are 100% correct, but they do more than the average user to stop things such as PIPA, SOPA and ACTA.

I dislike anarchist-mentality, but they do act as a stabilizer in a sort of way, which is beneficial for going against stupid government ideals.

I read a couple of days ago that the Zetas sent assassins out to find and kill other members of the group living in Mexico...And Anon stopped.

OT: I do think they are not as efficient as they used to be but they still stand for something, when they were shutting down sites with ddos no it was not true hacking but it did im sure annoy the companies and FBI. Now days the only way to get noticed is to either have cash or annoy people. They were also blamed for the PSN shutdown and threatened to shut it down again recently.I support them.

You people sure harbor a lot of hate for those who help you. When Wikileaks disbands, Anonymous is the only likely candidate for taking up their mantle; all other sources are in bed with government. As Congress continues their efforts to regulate the internet, Anonymous will become indispensable.

They aren't going to be very helpful if they keep on this track.

Anonymous... true Anonymous... would cry at this fame they keep incurring. Their agenda is far too busy to be called the Anonymous. The frequent attacks against injustice sure are a great measure, and I commend their work...

But you can tell the change, you can see it in their pattern. Anon used to only intervene when their OWN niches were threatened... all this publicity is making them a target, and making them more popular than they need be. I appreciate their help, but they won't be around much longer. They should go back to that hole they were so wrapped up in, and stop trying to intervene so much...

Or at least intervene with a name other than Anon... come on. Change it to something truly threatening like "Fluffy Kittens of Justice". That will turn heads, I promise you.

This Anon... is just a remake =/.

E: OOOH, they could always go with Celestial Being! :p

As others have said, they find ways to annoy people, but their actions will never lead to any changes. Using force to control.. anything really.. never succeeds in the long run only because the victims strive to achieve their goal even more. I know it sounds cheesy, but its the truth.

With that being said, I think what they stand for good, I just don't believe they will every accomplish anything worthwhile.
