Compression of sections

I think we can all agree, that pretty much all of the game sections below GFX (not including programing) are hardly active separately. It has been proposed many time, and in many different ways to compress, or even remove some of the sections. I think that if we compressed them all into one section, it would increase activity in that area, things would be more organized, and the forum would seem less "dead" in that area.

I think it would work very well to adopt a style similar to this one...

Yes, this would be a far better layout; I've never supported all these new sections, they're hardly active, and hopefully this would increase activity.

 

Your suggestion looks great, there's still the same content, but there's a lot less space used. Somethings had to be done about these sections for a while, because they're so inactive. Support

I support. Even with this being accepted, I'd minimize that one too.

 

Support, I've never gone into ANY of those sections, and when i do scroll over it there is hardly 2 people viewing them. And as you can see there are less that 100 threads in each section.

 

Support, I like the idea of compression and hopefully this would solve the inactivity found in the listed sections.

 

I agree that a rethink of the sections is in order, since they seem quite thinly spread out, and some sections don't qualify as 'active'.

To not give too much away, I've already suggested this.

 

I've suggested this in the past and it's been denied as well. Hopefully it will be implemented this time around
But instead of adopting an MMO section, you could compress even more by making a WoW section, RTS section, and a SWTOR section, since LoL is not an MMO

 

LoL is still an mmo, but it would fit well under a RTS section.

 

The only thing I don't agree with is having WoW, LoL etc hidden under MMOs. Other than that, seems pretty sensible to compress everything.

 

Would be a great Idea to compress it, most of the sections are pretty dead anyway.

I don't feel a WoW moderator is really necessary. If this was ever implemented, I'm fine with an "other games" moderator replacing WoW moderators, I'm sure it would have much more activity than the WoW section. FlyingToast would become an "other games" moderator instead of a WoW moderator.
