Only an idiot would do something illegal and still have it able to trace back to them. The main ones doing it will not get caught, the ones that do get caught, are small change. They always are.

If we've determined that doing something illegal and having it able to trace back to them is stupid, then we have also determined that the Anon Ops are stupid as well as the LulzSec Ops assuming that the majority of them were caught (Sabu, Essex, Topiary, as well as a group of 15 Italian AnonOps Ops).

General consensus is that the Anonymous members that are actually doing the "hacking" are idiots. Thanks.

SOPA already ended for the time being... not for the appropriate reason, but because the representative for it felt changes were necessary. We will probably see SOPA sometime again in the future.

The American government and these companies that pursue copyright infringement are off their rocker and are biased as well. Holding Megaupload/video/etc responsible and bringing them down is ridiculous. I'm not saying that the site owners didn't handle this situation rationally, but they shouldn't have been targeted in the first place.

In all honesty, everyone should be attacking Google, or Bing... Hell, their content isn't just user generated, it's also indexed by their servers (meaning they actually select the content that is shown in a search). The easiest way to find copyrighted content is to go through Google. Megaupload/megavideo never had a great search function, and wasn't 'proudly displaying' copyrighted content. Whereas Google and such provide a search, and display multiple links for your search.

The reason no one in the industry targets these companies is because they realize how stupid the industry actually is with their copyright claims.

Also, ddosing government property doesn't make you a terrorist. It makes you a vandalist. Terrorists are a much worse plague.

Also, that National Defense Authorization Act is unconstitutional, yet you say that because of it the government has the right to do what they please with people... yet you tell us to write our representatives and appeal for political corrections?

FUCK THAT! Why would I write my express dislike of something they're doing and make myself a target to be denounced as a citizen and thrown in federal prison without trial?

In short, You're a fuckin looney Savinelli. You're on the wrong side of the tracks if you think the US government is justified in their actions. You're also WAY off base if you think a DDoS attack against a website is a form of terrorism.

Obviously im talking about the usable internet. The government does indeed sieze property whenever they can for any reason they can you would have to be ignorant to think against that. I have read about alot of specific cases where even when the site was found not to contain any acts of piracy the sites have ben shutdown for having links to copyrighted material, also sites found to have no connections to any kind of piracy have had problems with not being able to get their domains back for up to 8 months. obviously you know more about programing or w.e than most people but you cant ignore the things that have ben happening. Im not even talking about Sopa giving the government power to do these things they are already happening without sopa being in play.

Now, to start this off, we'll delve into the "actual" definition of the word terrorist. There is no legal definition of terrorist that is agreed upon in any legal aspect. The common definition that was used previous to the NDAA, was "premeditated, politically motivated violence perpetrated against noncombatant targets by subnational groups or clandestine agents", however, after the NDAA, the term terrorist is only limited by what the United States government feels is a threat to national security. They can dictate whatever they feel is necessary as the definition of the word terrorist for how it most suits the way to imprison you. In short, the United States government with the permission of the National Defense Authorization Act is able to pursue you as a terrorist if you do something that they dictate as a threat...like attacking their websites. What was that word? Attacking...

The National Defense Authorization Act is not unconstitutional. Would you like to know why? It is currently constitutionally valid as it has yet to have a case thrown at it that proves it is unconstitutional. Until it is declared by the United States Supreme Court as unconstitutional, the law stands and you are governed by it.

Now, the reason why I would ask you to contact your representative would be for political change. As you stated above, political change would make you a target by the United States government (get over yourself; our government wouldn't waste resources on someone with zero social influence such as yourself) and you would be imprisoned by the bill that you formerly stated was unconstitutional (contradicting points much). There's absolutely no chance that contacting your representatives and making a hissy fit on social media will have any outcome on political conflict, or is there. Now, let's simply look at SOPA. SOPA is proposed, citizens contact their representatives and cause a stir online, SOPA is removed from proceedings.
Don't tell me that contacting your representatives can't change legality, it sure as hell happened just this week.

I'm going to make this clear: if you ever post a negative remark against me, I will make your life a living hell. Do you understand me? This is a debate, not a personal attack and you should sure as fuck keep it that. I don't support the United States government in their passing of the NDAA or SOPA and am simply pointing out the obvious flaws in the pro side to spark a debate and nothing more and you would do well to accept that fact.
