Thank you all. So far she has been moving around a little and talking though it is extremely hard to talk because of the breathing tube her throat is still extremely sore. The doctors came in this morning and said that it was a miracle that she was even awake. She grabbed my hand and kissed it multiple times. She is in immense pain though, they are doping her up pretty good with morphine. her forearm is broken possibly her wrist and hand as well. We aren't sure of anything else yet until there is more time. It really pains me to see her in such pain while there is absolutely nothing I can do. A bit before I left she said this... "Pick me up and take me home!" She is such a mess I can't stand leaving her like this but when I called into work this morning and told my boss the problem he was a real asshole about it. No heart. I'm going to try to go to work and get some sleep tonight though I don't know how well it will go. I might end up leaving work early this has put an immense amount of stress on me and I'm really feeling it and showing it. Again; Thank you all for your support it helps a lot knowing that there are people that will care for someone they do not know and more than likely will never even know thanks guys.

 

Morphine is really strong medication, i had that before trust me she'll be alright. my prayers are with you.

 

Even with that she is in intense pain... I just can't wait until the day I can take her home.

 

Horrible story, happens too much time to young people, damn cold.

I hope she recovers back to full health in good time. Morphine is the best painkiller, just tell her to keep pressing the morphine button as much as she can so she can rest pain-free.

 

thanks guys. Well, she doesn't have the button... they come in and give her a shot.... she's not really awake much, she's still somewhat ina coma. got off of work for the rest of the week going to stay there with her!

Stayed the night at the hospital the last 3 nights. She really wants to leave... She's still in a lot of pain though. Not much she can really do she ate a cheeseburger today and that was the first thing she actually ate.

 

I really hope she is okay. I'd be worried about my girlfriend too. Hope she gets better.

 

They say there is 8 stages, 1 being the worst (basically when she comes in) 8 being normal. She is at stage 5! She's recovering sooo fast! She has surgery today on her forearm (both bones in the forearm were broken) after that she will start recovering even more.

 

She had surgery on her forearm today, went well.

 

Sorry to hear that and glad she is doing better than before.

If she has been through all this, it shows how tough of a girl she really is. She'll recover fully, don't worry about it.

 

I'm not worried about it, I know she can do it... but now today I left the hospital to go home and get my check from work and other clothes for the weekend, now I go to leave to get back to the hospital and my car is over heating and blowing only cold air wtf? (2004 jetta 1.8t)

I just read through your entire thread, and I really hope she recovers alright. I'm glad she woke up from the coma, and successfully completed her forearm surgery. Best of wishes to you man.
