    Sectional Moderators

    Sectional Moderators can moderate anywhere inside of their section

    What They Can Do?
    - Close Threads in their Section
    - Sticky Threads in their Section
    - Delete Threads in their Section
    - Infract People in their ForumWide
    - Have access to Spam Reports, Staff Lounge and Report a Scammer Sections
    - Can Give Emergency Bans via a 5 point infraction
    - Can Man The Livehelp Function

    Special Admins

    Special Administrators are responsible for distinctive tasks which are not always noticed by ordinary users. They are ordered here by seniority.

    Sythe
    Owner, Arbiter of Last Resort
    As the name suggests, Sythe is the owner of Sythe.org. Whilst Sythe discusses certain initiatives and promotion candidates with other Administrators, he is primarily concerned with ensuring the site is running smoothly and is rarely involved in site management unless there is a concern other administrators cannot address. He is the arbiter of last resort for all inter-staff conflicts and has the final say in all major decisions, including Administrator promotions.




    Matthew
    Second in Command, Head of Donations
    Matthew is responsible for processing the site's donations, and is the creator and maintainer of the Donation Center, the Ranks and Username Images system, the Mobile and NextGen series of styles, and various other projects. As second in command, Matthew has authority over all administrators other than Sythe.




    Govind
    Administrative Supervisor, Secondary Programmer
    Govind's primary role is to monitor the actions of general administrators, and counsel them as necessary. He also contributes to technical development with BBCode, Plugins, Scripts, and Templates.
    General Admins

    Equally important to the Administration team, general administrators handle management of staff, staff recruiting, staff dispute resolution, IP bans, distribution of TwC ranks, creation and altering of forums, and other administration required around the site.

    Verts takes care of various tasks, including IP bans, distribution of TwC ranks, and other user management tasks.

    FireZ
    General Administrator
    FireZ takes care of various tasks, including IP bans, distribution of TwC ranks, and other user management tasks.

    Nick
    General Administrator
    Nick takes care of various tasks, including IP bans, distribution of TwC ranks, and other user management tasks.








    Note: this is not complete but i have 2 go to sleep, it will be finished tomorrow.
    Any Corrections will be appreciated, i will also be posting this in the guides section. I thought it would also be good here because people always ask what mods can do

    Globals are the ones that issue perm bans an lift bans usually

    Also admins are the ones that have to do resets for account recovers.

    To begin, I feel as though this is a nice concept, but not completely necessary given the stickied information that you can already access.

    *For information of administrators, as I'm sure you know, you can refer to the stickied thread on administrators (which was copied nearly word for word onto this guide) that happens to be already stickied at the very top of this sub-section. [here]


    This being said, I feel that this would be better off a suggestion to add to the sticky regarding the duties of administrators, changing the title and content to include moderators.

    I feel as though this is unnecessary for two reasons:
    1. The Runescape mod moderates the Runescape section. The graphic mods moderate the graphic section. It is extremely self explanatory.
    2. No body is going to click on a link just to see the place where a certain rank moderates. If they are interested, they will already be familiar with the sub-section.

    *Above is not nearly a complete list of Global duties.

    *you may want to add that sectionals and globals have the power to man the "live help" function.

    *"Where can they go?" should be replaced by "Which sections do they moderate?" It's just better english.

    *You may want to place "Special Admins" before "General Admins" for the sake of organization.

    I like this. I remember being new and having absolutely no idea who the "powers" were.

    *Special Administrators are responsible for distinctive tasks which are not always visible to ordinary users
    I feel as though "not always noticed" would be a good replacement. Many users are curious as to why they don't ever see the "Special" admins.

    I'd just like to end this seemingly nasty bit of feedback to say thankyou for taking your time to help better educate the community.

    Moderators and Admins - What They Do

    Sectionals can infract anyone in any section of the forums. Also, it's known as the Staff Lounge, not the moderator forum.

    Also, Sectionals have the ability to perform an emergency ban on a member, which only lasts a few days though. (This was the case when I was a moderator at least, I believe it is still the same though.)

    Overall it's a nice guide, but I don't really think it's necessary, and if it is, it'd be much better if it was made by a Moderator, as they have the experience, and members reading the guide could find it weird to see this guide written by a Non-Moderator.

    They can still give an emergency temp ban. I believe that it's done by giving a 5 point infraction.

    It's a temp ban that lasts 3 days. But I think if they give someone their last point infraction they can be banned for 2 weeks then.

    Cool guide, but it seems to mostly just be regurgitated information from other stickies/threads throughout the section :p Also needs a few corrections here and there.

    I would like to politely suggest maybe working closely with a moderator or admin (somebody who has the experience), so you could make this thread the best it could possibly be and ensure the information provided is 100% accurate. After that, I think this would be very handy for all Sythe users for a number of different purposes, and I see no reason why this would not deserve a sticky :)

    These kinds of things should really be left to the staff. There's a lot of information missing, and like Brendan stated, it'd be weird for a sticky about moderators for someone who never was a moderator.

    Which thread are you talking about? When Finn requested his threads to be removed, the staff took measures by replacing all of his stickies.
