    KeyTweak Guide

    Radiates' Guide to Runescape Keybindings

If this has already been posted i appologise in advance.
I've been sitting back enjoying the benefits I gain from browsing the sythe forum but i've never given anything back, hopefully this guide will be usefull to some people and therefore will repay everything that sythe has provided me.

    Anyway...the guide
    Table of Contents
    1 - What are keybinds?
2 - Why should you change your keybinds?
3 - How do i change the keybinds?
4 - Example of my keybinds

    What are keybinds?
The majority will know what keybinds are but just to ensure completeness I will explain what they are.
keyboard shortcut or hotkey is a finite set of one or more keys that invoke a software or operating system operation when triggered by the user.

Why should you change your keybinds?
Keybinding is essential for certain types of gameplay on runescape such as pking and PvM. But it also helps alot when skilling because you can bank/drop items/empty pouches/fill pouches much faster therefore leveling faster. Keybinds are essential for Pvp especially when hybridding, this is because you need to be able to switch gear and wack out the spec wep asap.

    How do i change keybinds?
First and foremost you will need software called Keytweak, their may be other possibly better ones out there but this is one I use and works perfectly.

    Download Here

Firstly select the key you want to remap and check to what it is currently mapped too, as you can see this key is mapped to Numpad 1.

Then go to Keyboard Controls and select the function you wish that button to carry out.

Then click remap keys and it should go to the Pending Changes box displayed on the bottom right hand side of it. Once you have selected all of the buttons you want to remap simply press apply which will then ask to restart the computer for the keys to remap.

    My keybindings

All of my keybindings are placed on the numpad, this is because I still want to be able to type effectively however this is only my opinion everyone prefers different things so keybind whatever you feel comfortable with

The Arrows represent camera movement and the other icons are pritty obvious what they are.

NOTE : Remember when changing a key, the function that was previously on that key no longer excists on that keyboard until you remap it to a different key or set it to default again, I would advise to remap the key that was removed onto the key that is being put onto that one. For example you want to remap W to Up arrow, when you do this W will no longer excist but the up arrow will have two keys, so remap the up arrow to W so when your typing passwords or anything it is still possible. This is the main reason i advise to use the numpad because its rarely used when gaming.

When you no longer want the Keybinds just press set to default and everything will be changed back to normal.

    Vouches appreciated :)

    Thanks :)

Don't play RS anymore but the fact that key binds exist make the game seems kind of unfair xD

    Goodluck users!
