Do you think Jagex will do anything with customer info they obtain?

 

No. Customers have not violated any laws. Besides Jagex already had that information previously from PayPal.

 

Yeah I figured they would not be able to do anything with it.


Really pissed off to see this happen to a good company. I haven't played Runescape in months, but wanted to see what was happening lately on rsbots.net (my user is i69) and saw the site wouldn't load, which lead me to here and to this thread. :'(

I got scared that Jagex might do something to people who had emails associated with iBot stuff, I think I registered on rsbots.net's forum with the same email as my main. Anyway, I changed my email on that account; it probably won't make a difference, I just hope that my main doesn't get banned >.<

 

It probably wasn't worth it for them at this point. Their house is worth over a million dollars. Even if they have to sell it to pay settlement, they are still likely coming out of all of this with a lot of cash, instead of nothing or massive debt.

Anyone know what this could mean for color bots? Below are the things in this previous lawsuit :

Copyright - Not an issue since color bots are completely external code. Nothing is being taken from Jagex.
Fraud - False advertising to their customers? Selling something that does not belong to them? Maybe this ties into the above? Would gold sellers be at risk here?
DMCA - This is the iffy area for everyone still I believe. But, at this point, the simple solution would be to ban all your accounts. If they don't at least do that first, I don't see how they could argue anything here - except for those maybe who received that set of emails the first time around.

Kyle said that. Kyle was a reseller, not the developer. Mark and Eric had a lot of balls going up against jagex. Nexus in my heart.

 

The end of the botting era 2011 will be remembered for that atleast.

Silentc0re made a vid about NeXus on his channel, it was in my subbox.
And can anyone tell me the relations of Rsbots.net to NeXus? Was Rsbots a reseller of NeXus? I'm confused on how Rsbots.net has anything to do with NeXus. I never botted, so I'm interested...

RSBots resold NeXus bots. Impulse Software is the company that sold NeXus bots. Impulse Software = Impsoft. NeXus is iBot. Jagex didn't get the house, that is only if the Snellman brothers (owners of impsoft) cannot pay the fines outlined in the settlement.

 

Ive been hearing that what was RSBots/Impsoft are STILL developing.

Anyone confirm this?

Jagex won court case, impsoft gone forever

Rsbots.net and rsbot.com both down


What i want to know:

Will my bot auths still work with a new client?

If no, is rsbot/mark/etc legally responsible to refund me?

What is the most promising bot software to keep tabs on?

impsoft will never come back, the snelman brothers ould get butt raped if they would even think about it. i don't think they want to more even more money to jagex then they have to do now.
