Think My Graphics Card Is Dying

I have a AMD Radeon HD 6800 Series that's a little bit over a year old. Recently I have been getting the "blue screen of death" where my computer sketches out, monitor displays all kinds of weird lines then it goes to the blue screen. I restart the computer and it's fine for a while. Also This happened the other day

Also this is pretty much what it looks like when it crashes (Not my picture)

Thinking ill pick up a can of air, take it out clean it up and see if that takes care of the problem if not I think I need a new graphics card if this is in fact the problem, let me know what you guys think.

How sure are you it's not your monitor? Try un-plugging and redusting all the cables connected between your monitor and PC. Also taking the graphics card out and giving it a good dust may somewhat help as well.

Also, try updating/reinstalling your graphics drivers, if you get the chance, try the graphics card in a different system if available and see how it performs there, then you will be able to see what the problem is. For all we know, it may just be your graphics drivers.

I'm not 100% but a problem with my monitor wouldn't cause me to get a blue screen error (Also this isn't a picture of MY monitor I just found it on google and it looks similar to what happens to me). I actually did switch monitors earlier but won't know if it fixed the problem for a couple days, since it's only been happening once every 2 days or so. I have installed the latest drivers.

Maybe you could try reformatting your computer; that fixed over 90% of the computer related problems that I've come across.

    Try:

    - Installing a new driver
    - Clean the card
    - Make sure it's connected properly
    - Check if you still have warranty on it
    - Check the windows log file to get the exact error code (after blue screen)

I have experienced the 'Blue Screen of Death' before and its not fun. Its a sign that your GPU is worn out to the max, simple programs which utilise graphical power will cause it to overheat and you will get the BSoD.

You will need to replace your GPU. Make sure you have good airflow in your computer. I suggest buying some good quality fans to keep airflow constant or if you want to save money set up a normal fan next to the box and leave the side door open. But tbh, just spend some money on a good cooler.

Have you cleaned your GPU after you started experiencing problems?
