How are account values judged in case of scams?

Say for example I order skilling from two partners on my pure, and one of them goes ahead and blackmails me + ruins my pure. However, they only scammed 10M GP from it.

How much would the other guy have to pay me back to get unbanned, considering the pure is then useless so they essentially took an account from me too?

 

I believe they would need to provide you with another account equal to the level of the one scammed/ruined, or the Sythe staff would probably determine a value that would be equal to the accounts worth so you may purchase another one.

 

With an expansion to this, if they can't replace the accounts stats, they are to provide enough RSGP to buy an account that has all the identical stats, as well as the service for the quests and skilling that is needed, as well as the original RSGP.

 

That would be pointless though, providing a level 60 main is MUCH easier than providing a level 60 pure.

And also, what about non-combat skills? What if it had 99 herby?

I believe that the staff convene and probably make a decision by consensus on what something is worth by judging the current market. Well, that would be the ideal way to do it.

depending on the amount of rsgp it has... and the current rsgp price in terms of $ also the stats of the account and probably by the total level and what quests have been done.

 

A good way is to take a picture of the stats and post in the price check forum.

I can imagine if you have an account that you were the original owner of, you don't want to replace it with a bought account that will just be recovered.

 

That's not fair, because at some point the account might be recovered.

Thanks, but again, an account bought off of somebody may be recovered, and who is to tell that you won't get scammed by the person doing the training?

Yes, but again, this doesn't take away from the fact that it can get recovered, and it'll take a while to get an account equivalent to it.

Exactly. But the person who scammed can just deny all your offers saying they are too high, there needs to be a mod/some group of people which decide what would be fair considering the risk of the account 1). getting recovered, 2). not being useable while it is trained, 3). the probability of getting the account scammed again while it is trained.
