SOPA Close Sythe?

There has been alot about these closing down all the bad websites, but do you think Sythe will be affected?

Yes cuz it is infringing the copyright of Jagex And so will Paypal and each payment webpage so the only method you would be able to pay with would be RSGP.

Yes, due to Sythe having a Runescape private server section which is Copyrights of scripts from Jagex which are legally owned by them.

 

The bill is being considered by the US Congress(that's where this all originated from). Sythe.org has US servers, so yes we'd potentially be affected.

 

Just move the servers from USA, to some Off Shore hosting, and you are good to go.

 

besides the tens of thousands (wouldn't be surprised if even 100k) of users who'll lose access to the site, not to mention the potential new members. activity will see a huge downfall if this passes :/ same can be said for a lot of websites though.

 

The bill affects ONLY non-US sites. Any site hosted in the US will not be affected IN ANYWAY. >_>

 

I don't think Sythe will be affacted by SOPA. It's not grand enough, I think
