Luck with buying accounts?

I would say to only get accounts from VERY trusted members (staff/ex-staff/1000+ vouches/ect); however, I remember following a thread about a year ago where an ex-mod recovered his account...

Too be honest, you cannot trust anyone.

 

Personally, I don't trust 90% of the market here.

Im not going to reiterate everything everyone has already said, but...

In all reality, I would not purchase an account that has had members before. It is a comfort factor, that If i add members too it, i will have an IMMENSE amount of information to use in an appeal.

In addition, when people say they will "give you all the information" to recover the account, they normally don't.

Typically, they will purposely give you bogus previous passwords, keeping the first (and most important) one to themselves.

 

imo only buy accounts of those who are highly trusted (100+ vouches) otherwise not worth the risk

 

your guys post worry me about the account i bought.. I feel like i should have ask this before i just jumped right in.

 

And it turns out the account i bought just got locked a few days ago! YAY

 

In 99,9% of the cases it's just a matter of time before it's recovered.

Hopefully a lesson learned for you.

Never buy an account on sythe unless someone with a 'highly trusted' or 'administrator' rank is selling them. I've bought several accounts in the past, only to have them recovered in under a few months. All the sellers had 1b+ in trades and several low quality vouches.

 

I usually buy accounts from trusted persons, like Punkerpunk, etc.

Never had any experience with recovered accounts.

Bought 1 account from Serozha and haven't had a problem, sad cunts scam over pixels!

 

I haven't bought an account , but it seems to me that alot of account sellers just recover right back.
