Impsoft shut down

Well it looks like the end of an era. As far as I know (details not fully public) there will be no more impsoft (rsbots.net, etc). Jagex won the court case.

 

It was pretty obvious they wouldn't stand a chance against jagex in a court case, but they will certainly always be bots

RSBots is down. Personally I believe it is unlikely to go back online.

 

Little disappointing but it is what it is. Was fun while it lasted. I'll always remember the times I had botting and on the site. Thanks for that.

And that doesn't even mean that Jagex won? LOL Impsoft is currently making the site viewable for Jagex to have, and the site is being used as evidence....

 

Trust me. I am very close to the situation. Legally any person in impsoft is going to have alot of trouble reorganizing under any name to develop bots.

 

Just noticed you're a mod on that site, based off your email addresses at least. Why was the judgement made when it wasn't supposed to be yet?

 

Likely settled outside of court or something.

Okay they will release it, people will follow, and Jagex will sue them too...?

 

What a shame. Eh, didn't have much faith in them after the bot nuke anyway. At least bots like Simba will now re-emerge into the RS cheating scene.

 

Its not the end its just a new beginning.
Arayan died, rsbot came in.
Rsbot wasn't great, Nexus came in.
Nexus in court, RiD came in, Jbot? And who knows what else.

Didn't fagex lose too?

 

Before the nuke botting was at its peak; I can't even wait untill bots reach that level again.

 

Well, the problem with bots such as RiD/Simba is that they aren't as user-friendly as Nexus/RSBuddy were. With Nexus, a user simply had to download the client, buy the bot, and run the bot. With RSBuddy, using bots was even simpler with the huge script repository & the ability to click "add script" and have the script added to your bot.

RiD and Simba seem more complicated to run to the average botter, so, as a result, some of the botting population will (or have) simply quit RuneScape. The "dedicated" botters are adapting to the new bots and figuring out what's what.
