Errr.... Question.

So, I'm trying to recover an account that I had made in like early '03 at a friends house. It was played on for like a day, fresh out of tutorial island, everything is like lvl 10, still a noob. Its only had one password, the one I forgot. I've tried recovering it like 10 times, yet jagex tells me I need the original password... Those idiots, if I knew the original password, I would have the account at the moment. Any ideas on what to do?

 

Yeah, sit and think real hard about what the password is. unless you come up with that your chances of getting it back are slim.

 

If your friend still has the same IP, go to his house and do the recovery there. The original IP always wins.

 

If you dont know original pass, i doubt you can get it back :/

 

Just keep trying mate from my 11 year rs experenice its automated keep putting them requests in and it will get accepted.

 

you should be right if u know ur friends web provider, u know where they lived, u still live within a few 100kms of that.

 

Good luck. I have an account from '04 in the same situation as yours, and I can't get it back no matter how much I try.

 

Yeah I created a noob account in around 04-05 has 2 santas on it .. Would very much like to guess the password !

 

Try guessing the password and keep sending in appeals. After about a dozen appeals, head over to your friends house and recover from his house.

Generally at the time of making an account, people don't usually bother. And even if he did, he wouldn't know where the piece of paper/document was all these years later.

Like said above, keep trying. You might get lucky sometime.

 

Unfortunately, I think your account may have been deleted due to inactivity.
Try adding the account you want to recover on your main, if it says unknown player then it's probably gone. :/ on top of that, I think don't think the current runescape was free in '03. Have you ever been on runescape 2 on that account?
I made my first account in late '03 and lost the password. I can't add the account so I'm guessing Jagex deleted it.

 

Ugh... 8th recovery detail thingy I sent, won't work. Any thoughts on "[email protected]"? What if I email them? I heard something that ppl email them. And well, I still know where he lives, I have his address, but he moved, so the people living at his house are strangers to me now. Frustrating shit, to say the least.

That may work for you, but in this case, since you try to leave the "previous passwords" field blank, you can not submit your report. Then, I am forced to type in some random shit there, and the automated machine senses that it is not the right password, and fails me. Bad system on Jagex's part.

 

I had the same problem, but luckily I set recovery questions, which are the same as I'm still using.
