    Good Pair of headphones?

I currently own the Senheisser HD 555 as I got it on craigslist for $30. The quality is decent but it is not stable at all volumes and the cable is damage a bit. I must say it IS comfortable but not for an extended period of time.

I am looking for a new pair of headphones for under $120.

    • Must be comfortable for extended time periods
    • Not too heavy
    • Good quality sound
    • Durability
    • SOME sound isolation. I don't want people to hear my music even on low-mid sound level
    • Warranty(would be nice but not required)
    • Doesn't have to be stylish but doesn't hurt

I know very little about audio specifications so I would love some opinions/recommendations on what is best. So far what I am looking at is the audio technica ath m50.

    http://www.amazon.com/Audio-Technica-ATH-M50-Professional-Monitor-Headphones/dp/B000ULAP4U

Edit: I will not buy dr. dre's.

M50 - The price has went up and is $160($130-140 on sale) so I will have to pass + I hear it is not comfortable after 2 hours.
    Razer Electra - mehhhh
    iPod Headphones - No thanks
    Skullcandy - No thanks
Grado Prestige Series SR80i - They leak a lot of noise from reviews so I will pass
AKG Acoustics K-240 - have to look into it.
Philips SHL5000/28 - Prefer something a bit nicer, seems like the quality is bad
Bose QC15 - Noise cancelling is not a priority. I would be fine with noise reduction(some sound can leak at high levels). High price
Sennheiser HD-280 PRO Headphones - Seems like a good price/build. Considering it..
Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro-80 - Good reviews and seem very comfortable. What holds me back from pulling the trigger is the idea of wearing this in the summer and sweating while wearing them lol
    Ultrasone HFI-580 - ..?

Get the Razer Electra in my opinion. I bought them when they first came out, amazing. Affordable, good bass, very comfortable for extended periods of times and somewhat portable.

Since you apparently like that style of the big headphone's,
Might as well get some Dr. Dre Beats and call it a day, always reliable,
If not, get some iPhone/iPod ear buds and use them up till you need new one's, like me :)

^ Don't just be a Beats fanboy. Yes they are good, but god dam they cost way to much for the quality. With iPhone/iPod ear buds you can't enjoy music the way you would wearing good headphones.

I suggest you get a pair of Angle and Curve headphones. They have amazing sound and look pretty sweet too. They're quite cheap ($90ish new, $30ish new but off of ebay).

Majority of the time though, you're not going to be wanting to wear huge headphone's every place you go, you know?
That's why i suggested the Dr Dre Beats ear buds, or iPhone/iPod ear buds because their so little and mobile, but still can be loud, In my opinion at least.

    Good Pair of headphones?

I am reading reviews but the design is whats troubling me. My ears are circular not rectangular . It seems to have good reviews but it seems a bit heavy(1.4lbs) unless I want a neck workout everytime I listen to music . I will keep it in mind though, thanks.

I am not a fan boy so I will pass. I do have earphones in the meantime :D.

Can you please specify a model and/or link me to the headphones on amazon?

I'm not sure whether these will be in your price range but try a product by Bose

    Good Pair of headphones?

Pull the trigger on the Audio Technica M50's. I did about a week's worth of research when I was looking for my headphones. I originally purchased the Dr.Dre Solo's but quickly realized that Monster and Dr.dre are faggots for charging $200 for a pair of $75 headphones

The Audio Technica's are amazing. They are comfortable, cool looking, durable, and they sound amazing! They aren't bass heavy, but it all depends on the device your playing the music out of. I'm more interested in music with actual instruments, and these make me feel like I'm front row at my favorite concert. They're absolutely amazing!

At first, they sounded mediocre, but then I found out you have to "burn in" any/all over the head headphones. "Burning in" is the method of playing all different levels of frequencies and sounds through your headphones for an extended period of time, so they can get used to performing at every kind of different pitch or level an artist may use in their sound.

I'd be happy to answer any questions you might have, so let me know man :D. But believe me, they are the best bang for your buck. Everyone who've used mine, have fallen in love with them. BUY THEM :D!

They look very flimsy tbh. The headbad doesn't look comfortable either .

I want to pull the trigger on the m50's but it runs $160 on amazon which is a more then I planned to spend :(. In the meantime I will keep looking at headphones.

Listen to Exile. I bought the M50's a couple months ago and I have never been more satisfied with a headset. They're extremely comfortable and reasonably noise canceling. You could wears these for hours and feel nothing.

If your talking pc/xbox get turtle beach x12's I got them last week and I loveeeee them man so good quality and so comfy + semi-cheap (around 45 on amazon , 30 on craigslist or 60 new new has warranty obviously.)

If your talking ps3/xbox/pc then go for the 120$ turtles can't remember name but their even nicer looking + same comfort.

Also if your talking like music headphones then get dr.dre beats ober the head kind, so nice and comfy man.

Just get nearly any Grado headphones over $80 for amazing sound quality. These are a really good choice for not that high of a price and they're also pretty comfortable and durable.

I can't name a model, but Razer generally makes god headphones. I'm really happy with my carcharias, and something along the lines of a Megalodon can't cost much more that $120
They also have a mic, which is always a plus

If you want comfort over long periods, the razer electra does a great job.. I can't recommend it enough, that's why I'm posting again. Definitely keep them in mind, and the weight is not an issue at all.
