Can you touch type?

 

Yes, I don't look at my keyboard anymore and can type pretty damn fast.

 

I sort of can, I wrote this sentence touch typing so I'm getting theree.

 

Yes, of course. I have been able to since I was about 12

 

I'm not the fastest touch typer, and sometimes I have to glance down at the keyboard to get the initial placement of my fingers sorted - but after that it's pretty smooth running. I voted 75% as I'm still a little way off being completely fluid

 

I dont use my fingers on all the right keys and stuff like they teach you to do but I still do it without looking and pretty fast so I would say I sort of can =P.

I first learned freshman year in highschool. Before that, I used to "Hunt and Peck" except even then I could do around 60+ WPM. Now that I've learned to touch type. I do around 120+ WPM.

Yep, I had typing classes in grade 5.

I can average about 80-90 WPM, so its not too bad

 

I think I started touch typing when when I started High School, when I started using my computer for the internet and school assignments more than I did for Age of Empires I can get around 70 WPM, so there are a far few people that can go faster than me, but I'm certainly not complaining at that speed.

 

havent tried seeing how many wpm i can do heh should be 90+ easily who knows lol

 

Easily. It's kind of embarrassing to admit, but I learned when I was a kid playing RuneScape and didn't know what an autotyper was. You learn key positions fairly well when you're typing the same lines OVER AND OVER again whilst selling merchandise.

So yeah, been able to touch type well since about 6th grade. I remember in 8th grade people were amazed that I could type so well, haha.

I actually learned touch typing when I was pretty young just from having to type to talk to my friends in Runescape.

I'm not too good and my form probably leaves something to be desired, but it's still faster than most people I know.

 

Definitely this. I started Runescape around 2003 or maybe 2004, when I was about 8. Of course there was no Grand Exchange then, and I used to do a lot of trading in W2 etc. so there was a lot of typing to be done I also experienced the same "OMG look how fast he types" thing when I first started secondary school.

 

I can for the alphabet but I sometimes look to find some symbols/keys.

 

Everyone can touch type, in my opinion, it's not that hard that it couldn't be learnt

yes i've been able too for years, i think playing runescape since the 4th grade is what really helped my typing ability.
