    Moneybookers/Skrill

I'm looking to add moneybookers/skrill as one of my accepted payment options. I made an account and got verified. My question is, is it like paypal where the can chargeback? What are the pros/cons?

    Thanks in advance :)

Everywhere that you can use credit card to pay you can chargeback. So yes, people can chargeback on moneybookers.

Is there a way to find out if they're balance/bank funded before accepting payment?

Doesn't make a difference, even if it was balance funded, funds can be uploaded by credit card.

Despite what people are saying here, I have sold via Moneybookers for 4+ years and have NEVER been charged back. The way the company works, they manually verify ownership of credit cards, and so long as you are being diligent (not doing $500+ orders from randoms) they will cover you in the case of a chargeback.

The fraud which took place on Moneybookers earlier this year involved Italian credit cards, and did cost some users a load of dough. However, the people committing this fraud were not hard to single out. They were buying unlimited amounts above market value, and were relatively unknown.

Tl;Dr - Don't do over $250 to one person and you should be fine.
