"Best Rapper Alive"?..

The same man who claims he's the best rapper alive, blatantly stealing lines from other rappers, even whole verses from dead r&b stars, just watch... Thoughts? How does this slide?

 

I dont support waynes new style anymore . He was better when he was with the Hotboyz IMO. He has better quality raps and analogies or whatever but he's not saying anything anymore. But everyone 'steals' lines from other artists in a song or two. Its not like theyre trying to get rich and claim it as their own, its more of a shoutout to that person in a sense of respect. Obviously someone somewhere will know where the rhyme came from.
I think he overdoes it though

Eminem is the best, imo

 

There isn't really such thing as a 'best rapper' of course everyone has different opinions, but if Eminem isn't in your list of highly appreciated and well liked, you're not much of a hip hop fanatic, the expression and emotion he puts into all of his work, is better than anyones standards, But people have voted Jay Z as the king of hip hop, personally not my choice.

 

I think Lupe is one of the best =D

 

There's so many rappers better than wayne; Lupe, Immortal, Tech, Common, Mos Def, Jay-Z, Em even MGK is better than wayne, even Chris Brown raps better than him IMO

 

IMO I think the bests go like this:
1. Eminem (Had to give it to him, outstanding career, what more could you ask from a rapper, or even from an artist period?)
2. Tupac
3. Nas
4. Big L
5. Tech N9ne (He deserves it, he's been grinding for 20 some years, never sold out, and still to this day makes quality music. Probably the most versatile with his flow and delivery).

Let's not forget Biggie, Big Pun, Method man, Rakim, Mos Def, KRS-One, Immortal Technique, the list goes on. There are so many people better than Wayne, I don't even have him in my top 20. And he's towards the bottom now that I know he steals verses so frequently.

He's not even the best in the mainstream right now, let alone in the rap game period. I don't see what he has that makes people think he's the best rapper alive. Hell, I could be better than him in a couple years.

 

Haha nice find.. Never liked Lil Wayne all that much anyways, just some songs i like he features in thats the only time you will hear me listening to him.

 

I like Lil Wayne's mix-tapes, and mix-tape's only
His albums are complete garbage compared to his mix-tape's,
But I've noticed for awhile now that he's been stealing other artist's verses/quotes, and claiming them as his own.

 

Lil wayne is sick, the way he spits his lyrics is epic. Watch his documentary, youll see how badass he is

 

One problem, most aren't HIS lyrics, did you even watch the video on the first post??... My opinions not going to change on him. Plagarism didn't fly in high-school, so it won't in hip-hop for me. And theres been rumors forever that he had a ghost writer. He also uses autotune, and something to speed his verses up, so he's nothing special.

Someone who wears zebra skinnies and yellow shoes together is not "badass"... He used to be raw as fuck, but once again, he stole a lot of lyrics, and he's not good anymore.

Lil Wayne at his best was his No Ceilings mixtape, but IMO here are the top 5 rappers..

lol, wow... ok, lost a bit of respect for wayne after that. i knew he jacked, but not to that extent. that's just sad. it's not like he's referencing to their lyrics, he's just blatantly ripping them. no doubt he has a ghostwriter, i've always seriously doubted wayne's lyrical abilities... and lol chase, don't even get me started on that westwood bullshit he tried doing. but yeah, i listened to TCIV last night and heard so many of the same lyrics recycled throughout his songs, also constantly using 2pac's line "fuck the world" but what angered me the most was hearing him rip earl sweatshirt's line "i put the ass in assassin"... t_t idk, guess he really is the product of mainstream.

 

Lil wayne is terrible, I've seen that westwood free style of him. Hes so bad...my vote goes to Kid cudi or Tech n9ne.
