I just realized something...

I hated Runescape seeing as all I would do is bot and when I would try to play legit, I would have to compete with bots. Now that all the bots are gone, I just realized something...

Runescape is pretty fuckin' fun.

Not when you don't have members because you are too high of a level to play f2p, and don't want to spend the money anymore on it. The game has it's moments every once and a while.

 

Runescape is undeserving of swearing adjectives imo. It's understandable for you however, as this is similiar to your first time playing where the world is so big and you are 'new' to it.

 

I've been playing Runescape for 8 years. LOL.

 

You're a few months slow But yes, if you enjoy skilling and training combat, etc, then the game is a lot more fun seeing you don't need to compete with a handful of bots.

 

Clicking for countless hours isn't fun although I must say:

Questing/Boss Fighting/PKing/Staking is fun!

 

I quit my main to start a skiller because nowadays everyone is just bossing and its just meh, i made my skiller so i could enjoy the skills of rs and i've allways hated agaility with all of my body, now that im a skiller i'm going for 99 because it's relaxing and fun and i'm really pumped to get it as my 2nd 99 ever (prayer was my 1st)

1.5M per hour double natting? god damn I missed those days!

 

The endgame content is the biggest issue imo. Compared to WoW where you can just hit level cap and jump straight into PVP battlegrounds/arenas or PVM dungeons and raids. On RS it takes 90+ skills and countless quests just to start doing bosses which often carry too much risk and hassle of planning to justify even doing them at all. Skilling and questing - yeah anyone can do them, but the real fun lies in the high end PvP/bossing and it just isn't up to par really.

I still enjoy playing from time to time obviously, but there are plenty of things to change such as adding random dungeon groups (not dungeoneering, it's a right pain in the ass with the whole floors thing and having to have the right level + find a group) as there are in WoW which give EVERY user that has reached some decent levels to experience end game content, rather than the vast minority that is actually able to currently.

PVP? Is a joke. Too many spec weapons, randomness and the pain of starting a pure just to have an advantage over others (who also have a pure making it mostly irrelevant anyway).

I used bots to get skills and some other stuff I didn't want to waste my time on. I would play legit to do the things like what Quaked said.

 

Bots are not gone, and runescape is still shit.

@OP: I agree, it's nice to go to the often crowded spots and get some training done now that bots are gone.

Does anyone remember back in the day at the Draynor willows spot, basically everyone was a bot. (Y)

 

Runescape has always been fun. Even though the grinding, repetitive behaviour can become overwhelmingly boring sometimes, I have always found RS fun.

Honestly, if you don't find RS fun, then why do people play it?

Crazy how much the bots ruined the economy. Now with them gone, look at it. Sharks back up to 1.6k each. Never thought I would see the day again. LOL.

 

The bot nuke day made me start over again.

Quite good now that most are legit players again.

The economy is awful, prices are fucked. Although, it does benefit skilling for resources again. Yews are dead!
