http://sythe.org/* doesn't load

Hi everyone,

When I load a page with url of the form http://sythe.org/* in any of my browsers I get a generic "we can't find that website" error. Loading http://ww2.sythe.org/* and http://www.sythe.org/* works fine.

Any ideas as to what I could do about this? It's kind of annoying

The star shouldn't be there in the link, where on the site do you get this?

What happens if you ping it?

 

Just use www.sythe.org then?

I do, but there are zillions of hyperlinks around the site that are http://sythe.org/whatever and it's kind of annoying to load them, get an error, type in www, hit enter again... once wouldn't be a problem but the 800th time it gets a bit boring

 

Open a command prompt and type "ipconfig /flushdns". Try that.

Weird, ping sythe.org pings 127.0.0.4 but ping www.sythe.org pings sythe's actual IP

Bump, my laptop works just fine on sythe.org/.... urls but my desktop needs www.sythe.org/....
