How long does a spell take to cast?

Was wondering how long it took for a spell like wind blast to cast while on auto cast. Wanted to calc exp/hr, but wasn't sure how long it takes to cast.

I usually got about 1000-1050 casts/hr using a combat spell that does damage. Like Video said, the technical timing is 20 casts/min, but server lag and monster deaths mean it is reduced a bit. If you're splashing a spell continuously, then it's more like 1150 casts/hr.

 

There are a lot of factors to factor in, like mage level, server lag, monster respawn, but you can get anywhere from 1000-1200 casts per hour.
