I'm tending to notice a lot of people being banned,
Members, Active Members, newcomers, Forum Addicts

But i'm noticing Apprentices+ are usually not banned,
So my guess is, if you make it past Apprentice that
they are probebly not a scammer.

i'm sorry if theres something inbetween froum addict and apprentice idk if
    there is.

Makes me feel like if make it to apprentice your in the clear and
    have proven a scam-free mindset.

While that may be generally true, many people with a higher post count (which directly correlates to user title) have been banned in the past, including many moderators. A lot of people tend to prove their worthiness, and then abuse the trust they are granted as a result, it seems.

    Oh, and by the way:
    Posting Ranks:
    0 - 24 = Newcomer
    25 - 99 = Member
    100 - 249 = Active Member
    250 - 624 = Forum Addict
    625 - 999 = Apprentice
    1000 - 1999 = Guru
    2000 - 4999 = Grand Master
    5000 - 9999 = Hero
    10000+ = Legend

Not really, sure there's more newcomers banned but that doesn't mean a higher post count means more trustworthiness.

also, lots of people SPAM their post count up because people seem to trust people with more posts.

Well it makes sense, because it takes an amount of time to reach apprentice, so if you are a scammer, there's been more time for you to get caught.

I guess a little part of it is true.
The higher the post count, the more time spent, and the less chance somebody would keep that up.

I honestly think it makes a difference in safety of about 5 - 10%.. but I'd mostly look at the vouches.
Those are the real worth behind the account! And mostly I'll check the combination between post count / vouches (and Google his email)

So yes it gives a little more safety if people have an higher post count, but nothing to be safe of neither!

I wouldn't trust that logic if I were you. You never know who might decide to go sour, even if it's only a moment of weakness.

on sythe post count does matter in many cases
espcially if you are buying a small thing lime rs upgrade or questing services

because scamming for those stuff is not worth it

but some people that handle trades for party hats or something bigger are willing to scam

Someone could be a legend and still scam, you have to have quality vouches to become trusted..

    Still,

I'd trust an apprentice with no vouches over a newcommer/member with no vouches.

You shouldn't trust someone solely on their post count.

Always use an MM, and check vouches when doing a trade. No matter how many vouches, posts, ranks, etc. someone has, always trade safe.

It's actually pretty sad how often people get banned on this website. People come and go like the seasons :(

I plan on being a statistic, one of the motherfuckers who sticks around for years ;)

The general rule is that almost everybody has his price. If someone becomes trusted with enough money, he'll be tempted to scam. Apprentices and beyond generally don't scam small amounts... but they are the ones who try and get away with a high-end scam for hundreds (or thousands) of dollars.

    I agree with him^
I'd go off of vouches for trust instead of post count, any one can continuously post, but vouches take time & effort.

Don't trust that logic; there were users who were very high up, had high post count, high donator, etc. that still scammed. You'll have to base trustworthiness on their overall character, quality of vouches, legitimacy, etc.

    DON'T TELL PEOPLE.

    LMFAO.

people who stay here awhilea nd do alot of fair trades arn't going to be the scammer, watch out when a apprentice tries to get you to go first, check for the quality of vouches not the quantity. Thats all it is tbh.

    btw. Alot of apprentice+ scam.
