Why Simba is a piece of shit

-Every script gets stuck in a random.
-Limited amount of good working scripts.
-A lot of people have troubles getting started with it at first (Not a simple bot to use like Powerbot/Rsbuddy were).
-Most scripts stop working 15-30 minutes in. Developers don't even update/fix them.

I mean, anyone serious about botting has got to be kidding me if they use Simba. I can get better XP/Hour playing legit. -.- Only good script that I've come across is Narcle's Fighter.

 

Ive given up botting when i downloaded it it stoped after like 45 minutes
for no freakign reason so now im just playing by hand till one of the major bots are back.

 

I hope you get banned from SRL. Complaining about shit you get for free? What have you gave to the community?

Not as simple as powerbot and rsbuddy? Why don't you use those then? Oh right....they don't work anymore.

Why don't you take your own advice, play legit and uninstall Simba. We don't want you.

There are good script and there are also a lot of scripts made by first time scripters.

Indeed, because RSbuddy/powerbot/rsbots has the settings all set for you. Simba is not aimed for runescape, other people use it for other purposes and by installing the library it makes it a tiny bit slower. So we give them option to install what they want.

Again, most of script public can see are made by first time scripters which are just learning how to script. There are scripts out there in public that works hours too. You best bet if find a script made by a person with SRL Member title, and if its not working just ask them to update it (For example, my clan war fighter is still in progress of being updated).

You are not paying for simba, and the community is not driven by money (atleast not on villavu.com) where as Rsbuddy and powerbots are paid. Also java its much harder to start up scripting compare to simba/scar, so most people that are making scripts for power bot/rsbuddy were already decent knowledge of java to make one that last long (doesn't make it good thou), while most of public scripts on villavu has a good combination of experienced and new scripters.

The goal of the community is so that people can learn and make their own bots and learn a basic start up language that extensively practices your logic (so does every bot language). Which is why the community encourages to learn, and rewards them with the SRL member status which gives them access to much better scripts and the ability to make anything possible

if you don't think its good, then you can still pay legit or pay for rid. We are a free community so its oke.

Honestly, how can u bash a bot which has survived the bot nuke.. its a colour bot, not Epic bot not power bot nothing else.. its simba and by the looks of it it has a pretty good community of scripters helping eachother... so obviously this bot wasnt made to be downloaded by the 100k people who cant bot no more.

 

If you don't like it then don't use it, quit complaining you should be grateful that they give you an opportunity to bot right now and should be reporting bugs or even better why don't you learn to program and then you can create a better bot that is flawless and you won't need to complain.

As for my input, the scripts there are great, you just have to pick the right script. Flight's scripts run great.

 

I didn't even see this one, I have a 138 and 122 and 118, all of their combat stats were botted and I was able to achieve 1-99str (in 3 weeks) 6 different times...

How? Made my own bandit killer and trader (sells noted lobster and buys back) in literally 6 hours and not hard at all.

 

You killed bandits to 99...-.- even botting that must have sucked lol.

 

Problem is, that you're comparing Simba to a bot like RsBuddy. While Simba is an excellent and atm the best Colour based bot, colour bot's are still no match to ASM/BCEL injection or reflection, which have actual data from the client while simba just looks at the screen. Colour technology is no match for those, but simba is still good (much better than rid imo).
You're just asking from it too much.

 

All I hear is a leecher noob complaining.. those are all personal problems mostly.
Simba is awesome, been around since 2004, never breaks due to updates.

All of these problems are because you are having personal trouble getting it to run because you are too lazy to read up fixes, and we have TONS of awesome 'perfect' scritps, just hidden from leechers until they earn the SRL member rank. We are about keeping profits and xp good by not having abuse of scripts and over crowding, leecher like you abuse and ruin methods.

Sorry you don't have the 1/2 a brain it takes to use it, sorry everything is FREE and OPEN SOURCE and you and make your own scripts if you wanted.

Hundreds of people use Simba on multiple accounts daily and are just fine and happy, also the better scripts are kept in higher sections to stop leechers like you from abusing them and ruining profits .

Take some time to learn to script, get SRL member rank, and you will have access to much better scripts, or you could learn to write your own too!

Good to know that. I personally do not or condone bot farms. I don't care if people bot their mains. If they get caught that's the risk of botting. It's nice to know Simba maintains this ideology; instead of marketing out public bots like RSbuddy or whatever the other crap is.

 

It's one of the only free runescape bots out there, if you don't like what you're getting you can pay. Or play legit, as you say the XP rates are better.

 

Okay, a lot of people are suggesting that instead of complaining I should learn how to script and make my own scripts. As much as I would like to learn, I SIMPLY DO NOT have the time! I'm not sure how long it takes to start scripting but I don't have the time to begin. Why do you think I'm trying to find good bots to use? Like most previous botters, we don't have the time to play legit nor do we have the time or resources (if applicable) to learn how to script.

I'll admit I was coming off a bit harsh on Simba, especially when comparing it with Powerbot/Rsbuddy which are entirely different bots and those communities had far greater amount of scripters and users and a lot of their scripts were also paid, which probbly explains why they were successful.

I guess I'll have to keep digging through some more scripts and wait it out with Simba. If I get the time I'll try to pick up scripting or at least attain the SRL member rank to get access to some of the better scripts. Yohojo, I'll take a look at your tutorials soon.

I mean Simba's great, but it is far different from Powerbot/Rsbuddy. I guess for us newer Simba botters we aren't getting the same satisfaction from botting like we were when using Powerbot/rsbuddy. For the average botter, they would rather just click a button and watch their bot run for hours on end (What Powerbot basically did) . I guess that's not the case at all for Simba.

 

If you can't make a bot and don't like what is available FOR FREE. Don't play RS at all, give away you account.

You should be more patient and try out some other scripts too.

A good place to start is the scripting tutorials in my signature.
They are video tutorials and many absolute begienrs have had great sucess watching them.

We also have a huge tutorial section and scripting help section where lots of people will gladly help you with anything.

At SRL it's not all about money, you gotta give to get, we don't like just selling scritps and letting them get abused, we let the contibutors/other scritpers use them only ! It's a good system you gotta admin Java bots being gone makes the economy a LOT better on rs!

hmm, is it possible to create a script that will simply walk to one area and telegrab a few items and then walk to the bank once an inventory is full, and repeat this step several times? How does that look for a beginner?

 

Depends on the area. I'm guessing you want a Zammy wine Tele-grabber? I was creating one of these, but stopped because SPS isn't too good in that area. Now that ObjectDTM's have been released, I would use those for walking. There are tutorials for everything you will need to write.

Walking is a bit tough in color for beginers, the telegrabbing part is easy though. Power miner/fisher/cutter or anything that does not require walking like alching, superheating, stufff done at banks etc is pretty easy for begienrs, walking takes a bit of practice though.
