Cruising other threads

Do you ever see GFX so on some threads you just want to walk away from the computer?
As i've gotten progresively better along the way, seeing really really bad GFX makes me want to rage now XD

 

Nope. People are always learning, there's no reason to get angry over their work, and doing so won't help them get any better. Not to mention some people see their own work better than you'd see it anyway, it's all up to perception.

 

All of the C4D text slaps make me want to do that. I talked to someone who said they paid $15 for a C4D text sig that took 25 minutes. That isn't real effort, once you know the techniques you just spam the same thing at different angles over and over.

I always try to help people out who actually want to put the time in and learn to do a real sig. I mean anyone with a little time on their hands can learn to make good C4D sigs, but to do traditional sigs it takes months and years to learn to do. It is truly sad that traditional sigs have fallen by the wayside in the community. That is why I am glad that Tr1bal, alt, and Spray are back because they actually appreciate real tags.

 

Hehe but everyone is also their worst critique ^^, i've come a long way since my first adobe but I still think my stuff looks like 100% garbage and always will.

I understand what your saying, I recently started to expirement with c4d and just got some smoke brushes, it really isn't hard to slap a couple of googled c4d's to make a sig. All I need is cinema 4d now to make the text =/
and some better colour co-ordination. But after I attempt that i'm still going to try and increase my skills and practice amount of smoke, colour of everything, defining, texture etc...

 

I completely agree.

C4D is ruining graphics. It is great when used in moderation, but I don't think it should be the sole centerpiece of the tag/sig.

 

Nah, i never get mad when i see bad GFX.. ever great artist started out shitty,, always remember that..

Well, not everyone has enough time in their lives to really improve on their gfx,, take me for example

I've been photoshopping for almost 6 years on and off now,, and look how bad i am xD(if i say so myself)
it's because i really never had time to keep doing gfx for a longer period to improve,, i did improve allot, but for 6 years designing i should be ALLOT better than this.. I've seen many people who have MUCH less experience in photoshop than me and they are fucking amazing, and way better than me

And some people pick up things faster than others,,
but yea, i don't go in rage mode when i see someone not improving fast enough to be honest

 

By the looks of your signature, you think you're much better than you actually are. Who are you to judge someone else's work in such a blatant manor?

I believe my sig is terrible, I definantly did not word my first post the way I wanted too lol, oh well ^^.
only part I enjoy about it is, i didn't use C4D to make it, like 90% of the sigs on sythe now =/
