For Sellers​

Where to Start?

1. Read the Sythe.org Rules found HERE

2. Post in the appropriate section regarding the account you wish to sell.
- If you wish to sell a pure or a skiller, click HERE
- If you wish to sell any other type of account, click HERE

3. In your selling thread, you will want to post a picture of your stats, login screen, offense screen, and bank (if anything worth mentioning) with your Sythe name in the chatbox in all in game pictures.

What to do After you Find a Buyer?​

1. Once somebody has posted an offer you are satisfied with, contact them using whatever contact details they left you.

2. ALWAYS Obtain a PM from the buyer just to ensure you are talking to that person and not an imposter.

3. While talking to your possible buyer, do a little research. Copy and paste this into a Google search: "site:sythe.org "[email protected]" to check for a possible ban evader/scam reports. Also, look at his vouches and trace them back by clicking on the little arrow on the vouch. If it traces back to a different user's thread, or it is edited, then it is fake. I SUGGEST CANCELLING THE TRADE IF IT IS FAKE. Also check their join date. If a user who joined yesterday is expecting you to go first, it is most likely a scam. One other thing to check about the user is the quality of their posts. If all they do is spam, their goal is to increase post count to seem more trusted.

4. Determine if you are willing to go first after doing a little research on your buyer. If you are willing to go first, then proceed with the guide. If the buyer is going first, then skip over this next section. If you both decide on using a MiddleMan or an Official MiddleMan, then skip over the next two sections.

Going First in an Account Trade​

1. Remember to do research on your buyer. That extra 10 minutes researching may help in not being scammed.

2. When you have decided to go first to a more trusted buyer, then you will want to perform an account recovery test. An account recovery test is when you give all the account information to the buyer for them to attempt to recover the account. The reason most buyers want a recovery test is to ensure the account can be recovered by the buyer incase the account ever gets hacked. PLEASE NOTE, ONLY THE BUYER SENDS IN THE TEST. This is the most nerve racking part of the trade, because the buyer could lie anytime and claim the recovery did not work. If the account recovery is successful, move onto the next step. If it is denied, then keep submitting recovery attempts.

3. Congratulations! The attempt was successful! At this point, you are going to want the buyer to set a default password both you and the buyer know. At this point, it is time for the buyer to send you payment for the account.

4. Once you have received your payment from the buyer, it is time to take off your recovery questions (if you have any), and change the recovery email from yours to the buyers. HERE is a good guide to removing your recoveries.

5. Once you have completed those last steps, you are now done! Last thing to do is vouch each other, then you have just officially done an account sale going first!

NOT Going First in an Account Trade​

1. If you have done your research and found out your buyer is not as credited as you, then it would be smart for you to NOT go first.

2. When you and the buyer have both decided that the buyer will be going first, then it is time for the buyer to send you your payment. Once you have received your payment, it is time for the buyer to submit an account recovery test.

3. You may be asking yourself what is an account recovery test? An account recovery test is when you give all the account information to the buyer for them to attempt to recover the account. The reason most buyers want a recovery test is to ensure the account can be recovered by the buyer incase the account ever gets hacked. PLEASE NOTE, ONLY THE BUYER SENDS IN THE TEST. If the results come back successful, then move onto the next step. If it is denied, then keep submitting recovery attempts.

4. Once the recovery test come back successful, you will need to get the recovery questions deleted (if you have any), and the email changed. HERE is a good guide to removing your recoveries.

Using a MiddleMan in an Account Trade​

1. If both you and your buyer are not comfortable with going first, then a MiddleMan might be the best option for the trade.

2. HERE is the forum for the MiddleMen of Sythe. Once you both have agreed on a MM and have both posted on their thread, it is time for them to be added to the conversation.

3. Most MM's will PM you both for confirmation. Most MM's will also NOT DO RECOVERY TESTS. If you find a MM who does Recovery Tests, then what will happen is the MM will submit a recovery test. If it comes back successful for the MM, then the MM with change the password to something only the MM will know. At this time, the MM will instruct the buyer to send you the payment. Once you confirm your payment is complete, the MM will give the new password to the buyer. At this time, you will need to get the recovery questions deleted (if you have any), and the email changed.HERE is a good guide to removing your recoveries.

4. Once you have completed those last steps, you are now done! The MiddleMan will confirm the trade was successful with both of you, then you will all vouch for each other. You have just officially done an account sale using a MiddleMan!

For Buyers​

Where to Start?

1. If you have been scammed, calm down and take a deep breath. The first thing you need to do is keep the chat logs up from the trade.

2. Next, you will want to take screenshots of your payment method's balance and the PM you received earlier from the buyer as confirmation it was him and compile all that into a Scam Report. You will want to post your scam report HERE. Follow the templates located in the stickies on how to organize your scam report.

3. Finally, attempt to recover your account you attempted to sell, and watch that fucker get banned.

Buyer:​

Looks pretty good. I'd like to suggest though that you add something mentioning that any account you buy can ALWAYS be recovered and so you should only buy from people that you really trust.

 

Even trusted people recover accounts, for example, Lucster. It's not a definite that trusted people WILL recover the account, but you never know. However, I will add on to my quote.

 

This but I think that you put a lot of effort into writing this guide and have done a very good job.
