I'm willing to play any sport but my favourite is soccer. Also, we already have some threads like this in the Sports/Outdoor section found here. :)

I'm really into sailing. I like it because it's probably the most diverse, complicated and challenging sport there is. There's an absolutely gargantuan quantity of variables and you have to be on the ball the whole time to do well. For instance... You have to be aware of where the boat is going, where you are in the boat, where the sails are positioned, how you are using the sail controls, the wind strength, the wind direction, the variation in the wind, the current, the tide, other boats around you, obstacles around you, where you need to change direction to get the most out of the boat, the depth of the water, the sea state and that's just a fraction of it all. You will NEVER have the same experience twice whilst sailing. Plus, in the kind of boats I sail it's fast past, exhilarating and physically demanding. Anyone can kick a ball or swing a gold club without too much practice (obviously not that well) but practically no one could jump into a boat and sail away without difficulty.
