At what point should I sell my staking wins?

I've made over 6B by staking, from zero, in just a couple of days. Should I keep going or sell it before greed gets the best of me like it always does? This is the most GP I ever had at a single time. The only other time I sold GP was in 2007 right before free trade went away.

I was gonna try and keep going with super cautious strategy - only staking when I clearly have an advantage such as PID in a rapier or mage box stake. Set myself a target such as 10B, reach it carefully, sell 9B and keep 1B to rebuild?

What do other prolific stakers do?

 

Sell it off before you are tempted to make more and more. Unless you have a really good strategy with like 65% win or more, you'll end up losing it just as fast as you made it.

 

What I suggest you to do, sell 5B and keep 1B for staking purposes. Stake that 1B, and then keep repeating at 5B, or if you feel comfortable enough, try to increase another Bil before you sell, until you reach 10B. And congrats on such luck.

 

Sell enough so that your remaining gold is equal to what you had before staking.

 

6B * (.6-.65) = $3600-$3900.

I would suggest to sell the GP now before you lose it all. Remember, it IS real life money.

Also, WHEN you do decide to sell it off, i wouldn't recommend you have large amount of money on you account anymore.
There is a good chance, with Jagex wiping accounts, that your account will be flagged for RWT.

 

Sell it, you're up a tremendous amount!!! You're set there! Start at 0 again, then if you lose, you would still be up! SELL IT!

 

You eventually get cleaned if you want to keep on pushing your luck go for it I personally would sell most of it and keep on staking.

 

I performed PID staking as well. However, I did boxing rather than rapier/mage boxing. I had roughly a 53% chance of winning from getting first hit 95%+ of the time. With your methods of staking that percentage will be higher as there are less hits.

What I recommend is that you sell off 4b, rebuild with 2b. Don't bet more than 100m in any given duel (I have lost 10+ in a row before). Also it's very helpful to document wins/losses and whether you got the first hit or not in the duel.

You could probably get 50-55c per mil, make sure you sell to a trusted bulk buyer. Playerauctions is another option as you can get 60c+ per mil.

 

Sell 4b for about 55 cents a mill, then keep that bank 1b of it and keep the other 1b for staking that way if staking go's really bad ofr you theres the resource in the bank.

I would definitely sell 5B immediately and keep the last 1B for further staking and your own uses in RS. Or sell even more if you want to..

Like others have mentioned above, you are playing with real cash here, and SO many people get cleaned on a regular basis its not even funny. If you end up losing all your cash you are going to feel like a total tard for not selling your money while you had the chance. 5B will bring in a few bills and 1B left over is still a shitload of money. Be smart, and congratulations!

 

Sell 5B now, seriously you will eventually loose and get cleaned. Sell the 5B and use the remaining 1B to make stakes.

 

Do a 1.5b stake right now and leave no matter what happens. Sell most of the money right away; don't be foolish and hold onto it - you don't want to lose it.

 

Sell most of it (Securely ofc) and keep some of it (Like 100m) and see if you could make more.

 

If you have made the 6b in only a couple days you will eventualy get cleaned no doubt about it. I would seriously sell up right now if I was you and maybe just keep a little to try and win big again.

Having anything more then 1b imho is just pointless. unless your life income is off rsgp sales.

 

Depends: Are you greedy or no? MOST people who make 6B+ don't sell and lose EVERY BIT of it. Don't be one of those guys. Use self control, if you don't have any, sell.

 

Sell it, because eventually you'll lose some and chase to get it back and end up losing a bunch or getting cleaned. Keep 500m - 2b depending on how much you want and sell the rest.

Also, when you sell, I'd stake it away instead of trading. In my opinion since you've been staking a lot staking it away would be less obvious.

 

Yea, sell what ever profit you've made then start again from where you did before.
