Luck with buying accounts?

How is everyone's luck when you buy an acc? Have you ever bought an account and had the seller recover a day or week later? Or have the accounts you bought been legit and not recovered? Im just asking because i want to buy more accounts off here and just wondering what i can expect.

 

Honestly it depends on who you buy from. I recommend someone with at least 50 vouches and maybe $100 donated. It will be more expensive hut thats because youll get to keep it.

 

first when you go to buy account see the validity of the seller. check vouches/ any previous bans/ value of vouches / donator. Then talk to them, after talking to individuals you can tell if they want to make some gp and recover or are there to sell the account.

But the only downside is that you have to pay a high price. This high price often comes with certainty that accounts wont get recovered and if they do the seller will help you recover.

Make sure that when you do buy an account though that the account is theirs and they are the original owner. Otherwise, when you find out that he wasn't the original account holder, things get SO complicated.

Whoever you buy the account from needs to have a good reputation and can be sure that they will help you out if you do lose the account somehow.

I had 3 instances of an account recovered back from me. Two was rare name accounts and one was a one letter account that had around 10 owners so yeah that's what I am saying about the original owner part. Huge risk of losing the account and getting it locked.
The thing was though that these 3 accounts were from trusted and reputable members with 100+ vouches so in reality, it will always be a risk at least from your side of who you do trade with.

I have around 50 accounts though that I am not the original owner of that I have kept at least 6 months+ without being recovered so definitely you will have a greater chance of getting a good account than a bad one.

Just look around, check their vouches and reputation. Remember to ask for some information as well in case you will need to recover it or lose access to the account. I would say the best info needed is previous passwords, account creation date, location account was created from and the service provider used. Still ALL accounts can be recovered regardless.

 

As well as what the two above posters have mentioned, remember that Account trades including a MiddleMan aren't much safer. It does exclude the risk of one person going first and the other not receiving the payment/item, however the majority of account scams occur after the trade is completed when the account owner decides to recover the account.

Also, remember that there could be issues with the account being locked due to a different I.P address being used for the account, so I would recommend making sure the person you are purchasing the account from is willing to assist you in any locking issues. (They should help you out anyway, but make sure that the seller understands this before you proceed with the transaction.)

But yeah, I'm not saying that all newcomers and members with a small amount of previously successful trades are scammers, but if you find a newcomer with an account that seems to good to be true for there asking price, it probably is. It's much better going to someone with a huge, clean trading history who has sold accounts in the past without complaint. Paying that little bit extra for a trustworthy service is really worth the risk of being scammed and losing everything.

 

All my accounts that have been sold to me have been recovered save a few.

But those few have been banned from botting :E

 

thanks for all of the tips everyone, i fell pretty confident in the account i bought from a user that joined sythe in 09, was a donator, and has around 23 vouches.

I did forgot to ask him if he was the original owner though. ;x

 

I've been scammed twice when buying accounts. One person said I never gave them the money, the other recovered the account. I've been cleaned but I'm gonna make it back

 

I have been scammed multiple times.

Once by a 2005 member.

They recovered the account 3 days later after I had transferred a bit of gold and items onto it, also after leveling it's combat stats too.

 

Only buy from trusted users to avoid recoverys

 

ALL accounts are recoverable, just be very picky on who you choose to buy the account from

 

The way I see it, only trade people with something to lose by risking recovering the account back and getting banned. Using a middle man increases the chance of instead of just that seller recovering now you have a middle man. I never trust middle mans with accounts info as they never seem to last on sites! They can recover an account and be 100% in the clear because everyone assumes it's the original seller that is scamming!!!

 

I've only bought a account once off sythe and that was fine for a week or two then the account got locked, i don't know why though.. it was probably because he tried recover it a couple times and failed. In my opinion just buy accounts of people who are trusted, It might be expensive but you'll keep the account at least.

 

I never buy accounts here on Sythe, I don't wanna spend 200M for an account to be recovered, that would be no good. Maybe to a SUPER trusted member, with like, 500 vouches or something though ^_^

 

I'd refrain from buying accounts if i were you. I'd just buy the account's worth in gold and get the desired stats/buyables using that. Trust me, i've seen lots and lots of people get backstabbed in the account market.

If you do need to buy an account, use common sense and avoid newcomers as they are potentially ban evaders..... Only trade with trusted people, they may charge a bit more but it is worth paying a bit more for the peace of mind.

 

That could work, but if you want, say, a maxed account? Yea, that's alot of hours, but 100% safe (as long as you buy gold from the right people )

 

I bought an account on a different forum a few years ago 8m for a ranged tank with 94 range 70 defence and 88 magic and somehow it was never recovered. Unusualy though most other accs from all sites have been recovered

 

It's a 9/10 chance the account you buy will be recovered. I suggest staying away from account buying.

 

It really depends on how trusted the person is, you can't really say.

 

I would never buy an account from anyone. Even if they give you the recovery info, they will have the advantage because they will always have the ip address that the account was created on, which will put the advantage on their side.

Even if they have hundreds of vouches, they can recover in a year and just claim you got hacked, no way they will get caught.
