I agree with this very much, when I first brought gold as stated in the first post the bot nuke had already happened. It's what made me come here in fact, so there was deffinately no immediate reaction to the nuke causing prices to boost so high.

The nuke is a big factor. It took some time for botter and some major gold farmers to sell a big stock of their gold for a price to change.
It is economy, the price does not dramatically change the next day.

The euro crisis has proved that things can change in a day. Look at Greece or the Swiss guys wife who made 50k in a day from knowing the market will change. But then again the rs economy is pretty basic,

It didn't immediately drop because there was still alot of stock left. It's all about demand and quantity. If there is alot of something that can be made on a mass scale, the price wouldn't be as high. Whereas if something is in short supply and is quite hard to get hold of, the price will go up. So in this case, people are struggling to gain as much GP as they did before, meaning it's hard to get, meaning a price rise. :)

if jagex keep on resetting huge amounts of gp from sellers i think the sellers will begin to raise the price of gp even more

I bought 60m recently for .75 and that was direct paypal.

It's just a lot of the main sellers have been rolled back in gp and have paused there gp sales, I think after a bit of time it'll go back to .65-.75

A main factor is that many high rollers got reset. Thats like billions of gold completely wiped off the game. That makes supply increase, and demand is usually steady for RS gold. So with less gold floating around it forces prices to rise.

I'd contribute the majority of the surge to the wipes, yes. Smaller sellers cannot afford losing 2b / $1300. They lose the motivation to keep selling because of the seemingly massive loss.
