barrows set up?

I want to do some barrows runs when I am bored of runecrafting..

So I was wondering what a good set up would be? With weapons, etc...

I have like 30m gp and no access to ancients (noob I know, but fuck questing)

I want to know what I should wear and what I should bring in my invent...

 

Basic gear/whip and prayers..Im guessing?

 

My basic gear was this

Wear
Torag Legs
Black Dhide Top
D Boots
Ava's
and then just normal setup

Invent
Mystic Top
Slayer Staff
Rune cbow
Runes for slayer dart

then rest food with 5 prayer pots

 

this in no way helps me...nice spamming for post count I guess?


I haven't been to barrows for a long time so I don't remember what to take at all...

 

I wear full Grifolic armour (requires 55 defence & 55 magic), Polypore staff, dragon boots, nezzy helm, fury, ring of wealth, illuminated unholy book, fire cape and bring a rapier with me for a melee weapon (although you don't even need it), and this setup works wonders.

You can also substitute the grifolic armour for Karil's skirt and black d'hide body, and the polypore staff for a staff of light. Then bring death & mind runes for the magic dart spell, and you get your runes back + extra almost every single trip, so you end up with many more runes than you even started with very cheap method

 

I would advise polypore staff along with ganodermic armour, a rapier, and CCB with diamond (e) bolts. After rotm, havin two attack styles is a must, and ahrims can be a pesky tank sometimes.

 

I would say

Polypore staff for Dharoks/Veracs/Torags/Guthans
Mystic armor full/grifolic if you want to waste money and lower profits/

And take a melee substitue weapon for Karils and Ahrims, although polypore still hits pretty decently on karils it splashes quite a bit on ahrims.

Also as you're in mystic be wyry of Veracs.

Prayer potions and sharks/alternative food.

 

My setup is
Verac helm, obby cape, glory, chaotic longsword, dragon defender, bandos chestplate and tasset, dragon boots, gloves, dragon boots, ring of wealth.
My inventory :
Dragon dagger, 1 extreme set, 2 prayer renewal, 8 sharks, and the rest prayer pot.
With this i can last a bunch of chests
My stats are
80atk
90str
80def
86hp
87 pray

 

If you don't wanna spend alot of money you can use black d'hide with a black salamander which kills them pretty fast.
A Whip+dds for karils and ahrims

Iventory like 5 pray pots (so you can do more runs instead of banking)
Spade
Super Atk/Str
Home teleport (if you have altar+ kharyll teleport)
Saradomin Brews for longer runs incase you do bring super restores or just bring Sharks

 

my stats: 99 att/str/def/pray & 80mage

armour: full dharoks/ d boots/ skill cape/ barrows gloves/ dfs/ fury

wep: slay staff (needs 50 slay I think) and rapier for melee wep

I know its weird but I wear full dharoks then mage using slayer staff, mage veracs/ dh/ torag/ guth then use rapier against karil/ ahrim. 8 ppots, tele tab and all food (sharks or higher) in inventory usually lasts me 5-7 runs in 1 trip. you don't need to bring a spade anymore, there's a spade in each grave now and don't forget your ring of wealth!

 

He can't do ROTM, he hasn't even done desert treasure.
