I've always been a fan of Western Digital all the way. I've never had a WD fail on me. Are you from the US? If you are, you can try shopping around on newegg, you can find a good deal there easy.

In order based on experience, WD, seagate, Hitachi. I have a lot of WD drives with no problems.

Edited to say I've had a few Hitachi's fail on me in the past, which is why I don't buy them anymore.

Western Digital is the best type of HD. Never fails, never lags.

Western Digital is great, but remember you can always get like a seagate 1tb for quite cheap and should still work great.

LG, WD, Samsung are all decent.

Prices have pretty much like tripled now though.
Cause of the floods in Thai the factorys were closed etc.
