    Is this legitimate/allowed?

Couldn't exactly find an appropriate forum for this particular question, but under any circumstances can someone claim they are more trustworthy than anyone else because of an old join date?
Taking into account vouches aren't that far from both users, will the person with the older date be deemed more trustworthy? Just read through all the rules and couldn't find anything on this particular question.

This should be in Sythe.org support.

When looking to trade with users look at the following.

Taken from LillieServices, thread - sythe.org/showthread.php?p=10272968#post10272968

If you found it helpful, thank him.

    The answer is simple. No.

In this case, as vouches number are similar, just look at the quality of them.

There is no "official" guidelines to what makes one user more trusted than another user. The guidelines set out above in Lillie's thread are merely points that should all be taken into account when using your own discretion to decide how trustworthy a certain user is. None of those things are written in stone though!

There have been tons of examples of Mods, OMM's, and users who have been on these forums for YEARS being banned for scamming and other incidents that warranted a permanent ban. The unfortunate truth with anybody over the internet is that you just never know. So always use your best judgement when trading with another user.

To better answer your question though - NO. A person's join date should not make that user more trusted than a newer user at all. You could have a guy that joined in 2008, yet has 2 vouches and has hardly any reputation on the site at all, vs. a guy who just joined 4 months ago yet has traded over $10,000 worth of goods and has a lengthy vouch page. Each user is a unique individual, and you should use your best discretion when deciding who is trustworthy and who is not.

It all depends on one's experience. Does he seem trustworthy to you/someone else?

No, not at all. Date means nothing, it's vouches you should look at.

    Answer: NO.
But if they have the same join date and same number of vouches, i would look at the quality of their vouches (others go first, how much, who they sold to).

While I'm at it, I'll ask a question on the same topic instead of making an individual thread.

I know quality of vouches is way above quantity. But is that limited to the quality of the trade or the quality of the person giving you the vouch?

In other words, is it allowed to claim that because you have, lets say 5 vouches from MM/OMMs and highly respected sellers, you are deemed more trustworthy than someone with 40 vouches from everyday people.

I would trust someone with trades from highly respected MMs or mods. As for 40 vouches any of them could be faked.
