Should I get 99 runecrafting?

I was wondering this...says I would have to make like 1.2m nature runes from lvl 44? So thats 1.2m pure ess I would have to craft into nature runes, right?

Anyways, I was thinking about doing this and then just getting combat skills up when I am bored of it (like 99 att/def...currently lvl 90 in both)

I want a long tedious 99 (also a cool one that will make money) because I find that if I don't have goal on rs, its boring for me...

So, should I get 99 runecrafting or should I get something else? if you respond with the latter, then please suggest something (other then agility) I only have about a 110m bank, so I can't really be going crazy spending money on skills, so if you suggest something, please make it cheap.

 

Well 99 rc is a paint in the ass. But if you enjoy training it, go for it.

 

I want a long term goal, so that when I log onto runescape (haven't in about 7-8 days) I have something to do and I'm not just standing around a ge looking at the screen (I am not the kind of person that talks to people that much in rs, so I don't even talk at ge, I just stand there)

I figure since rc is long, major profit and an awesome sc...I think it fits my needs perfectly...I am just confused about somethings to do with rc...

Like I remember when I was making my summon tank...my goals were 99 cooking, 75 def, X HP and 46 summoning...I got that, then I was like...what do I do now? and just sat there when I logged on..

I have a few questions for any experienced rc'ers

The only thing that concerns me, is that I would need to make 1.2m nature runes? ;o dafuq...

How many nats can I an hour without runners and with runners...(saw a skill log of someone making like 20k in 5 hours without runners?, so is it like 4k an hour?) I have over lvl 57 summon, so I would use the graahk (think thats how you spell it) method

Does it give me 600k nats from lvl 44-92, then 1.2m from 92-99? if I need to make 1.2m nats for lvl 44-99?

Do you need any sort of quests/mini quests to kill things for pouches in the abyss?

 

What do you want with 99 rc? The most usefull rc lvl is 91 and the rest is just to look good.
I suggest getting 99 slayer if you really want a long term goal, it's awesome when you're higher lvl (80+) and it makes good profit aswell.
It's different than rc because that's just walking to the altar and crafting your runes... and slayer is every task different monsters and the higher the cooler monsters you get.
I would go for 99 slayer since it's usefull when you've reached 99 and it makes good profit.
If you still go for rc then do 91 because there's really not much after 91, lvl 91 is 2x nats and that's what most people want.

 

If you're really committed I say go for 99 RC. Be prepared to drop like 4 months of your life though.

Also nats will be good but once you can do deaths I recommend them. Faster xp and almost 3x the profit. I can make about 1.2k/hour in the abyss if I stay focused.

 

to nice2do....I hate slayer...I have like lvl 74? and even that was a pain to get for me...I hate having to do shitty tasks...I like doing combat skills, but not through slayer..I will eventually train it..but not really...

Also to old trinity, the time it takes to get the 99, isn't really a problem..I am not one of those players that devotes their whole lives to runescape and therefore I wouldn't really be "dropping" 4 months of my life...I play runescape when I am bored or in my down time...I wouldn't grind it out for like 12+ hours a day to achieve the goal, I would play when I can and do runecrafting/combat training when I am online...It would probably take me more like a year or so to get 99 rc...but of course that is what I am looking for...a goal to achieve while I play runescape so I am not just online to be online...of course I go through stages, sometimes I will find it enjoyable to play for long periods of time, but I would never force myself to play if I wasn't enjoying it...

im 99 runecrafting so i'll answer some of your questions.

When you level up runecrafting you make more runes per essence, BUT the extra runes you make DO NOT give XP so you will need to make 1.2m nats if thats what the calculator says. But you will probably end up with somewhere between 2m-3m nats with the 1.2m essence u buy. since you will double some of the essence and once 91+ will always double it.

Realistically using graahk method the most essence you can craft an hour is about 2.5k-2.7k essence. but once again the person you saw that was making 5k nature runes was most likely 91+ RC so he was actually getting double nats and then the 2.5k essence he crafted an hour turned into 5k Nature runes. Still though it only counts for the xp as 2.5k essence crafted and not 5k essence. Extra runes DON'T give xp.

and im not sure about the last part if you're asking if you will only get 600k natures from 44-91 RC? but if thats what a calculator said then NO. You will have to craft 600k pure essence into nature runes. THEN you will end up making some double essence runes and probably end up with about 900k-1m runes because of the doubles that dont count towards XP.

and then after 91 RC whatever the calculator says just double the natures u have to craft and thats what u will end up with as the final nature runes u have.

oh and also for the pouches you can buy Small and medium from the wizard in the wizard tower, just google it im not sure what his name is. and for large/giant you need to do the abyss miniquest to enter the abyss then kill the monsters in there and they will drop the pouches, you should only have to spend about 30 minutes getting large/giant from them and then once you get them and they decay you just either use Lunar magic to talk to dark wizard and repair if you're doing graahk method OR if you're doing death runes (which is more xp/hour and more gp/hour once you're about 80 RC) then just talk to the dark wizard in the center of the abyss -> right click -> repair pouches and he should repair them in about 3 seconds.

if you're going for 99 rc you can get lvl 92 rc and 111 effigys would cover the xp from 92-99 , if you open all the rc stages aswell.

You wont get it to 99 without a bot. Its too boring you'll take breaks and stuff and it will take forever .

However my friend got like 20m rc exp the legit way :O

 

Get 99 runecrafting via grahhak and dueling @ castlewars, the profit is like 100m or something

 

I modified a nature rune bot for Simba, now I am botting natures to 99. RC is boring, but the rewards are awsome.

 

I have never botted and never plan to bot...I WANT it to take forever...then at least I have goals for when I log on...

Also stui...makes nature runes, I would make well over 350M gp as profit (at current prices) more apparently if I make death runes...

 

99 runecrafting is a long and hard road, so I wouldn't bother unless you know for sure you are going to be able to commit to it and stick with it. If you think you can do it though, go for it! 99 RC is a pretty respectable 99 IMO (w/o bots atleast), and you should make a nice big pile of cash while you are at it.

I think saying things like this, is what makes people think that rs needs to be "quit" because it is ruining peoples lives...I am not "commiting" to anything, its a game that I play for fun when I have time...If I decide I don't want to finish 99 rc or I want to get something else, I will...I will never force myself to do anything on a game that is supposed to be FUN, if it isn't fun...

I find those stupid, repetitive and boring things fun...I also need a long term goal and 99 rc should net me over 350m RSGP along with it.

I PLAN to stick with it, but who knows?
