Runecrafting to a Purple Partyhat

My Runescape career has always been an odd one, I can skill some stats super high, such as Runecrafting, a HATED skill...but when it comes to "easy" skills...I cannot stand them. Fletching, cooking, you name it, odds are the level is low.

My highest point I had a full partyhat set but a blue, and was close to my goal of a partyhat set, unfortunately, I was scammed by a friend while he was at my house. I had left rs open and the hats were in my inventory, he logged in and stole them, refusing to give them back. Mind you this was when hats were pretty cheap, selling for minimum in Grand Exchange. I forget what their prices were, but Blue was highest at 500M, so not as dire a loss as some may think.

I only recently just returned, having worked my way back up to all 4 phats but a blue and white. I sold some gold to r2 because I needed some tuition money, but I'm back now slowly but surely trying to get as many partyhats back as I can.

So that brings me to this goal. A purple partyhat the same way I have gotten all my previous partyhats outside of merchanting and flipping: Runecrafting. I have almost 19M runecrafting experience, and will have close to 30M experience if I can complete this goal.

I have already done about half the runecrafting neccesary, my total cash pile at 555M. I am making 2 million Nature Runes total, which will give me about another 550M. I have about 680M total outside of my 2 hats (Green, Red) which I will not be selling to aid me in any way. So that gives me close to 1.2 Billion when I'm done, with Purples being at about 970M Grand Exchange Price. The problem is this will take a few months unless my friend helps me run the natures. He just does it out of the kindness of his heart really, but don't worry, upon completion I will be paying him for his troubles lol.

So here's the important stuff:
Current Cash: 660M
Total with ess + Nats: About 950M+ (but not selling, runners get a large portion of this, keep reading below)
Purple Partyhat: 1050M

Current Nature Count ( I will update daily, I can do 20-40k a day, depending on a ton of variables, like how busy I am with other things, yes I do things outside of RS like anyone else, if anyone runs for me, my motivation, etc If I had a runner do it with me and I did my absolute fastest, 80k in one day would be possible, but my friend usually isn't up for that nor am I lol.).
Day 1 of this log:



Day 2 - Was busy today, didn't do much, the good news is my 99 fish friend said he would fish sharks for me until Purple! This is added motivation and a few more mil a day! !



Day 3- Took weekend off - too much New Years Festivities. Wanted to get to 100k, but got distracted by the College Football Bowl Games as well as the NFL Games :x. My friend donated me 1M to the cause, very appreciative! My runners have been busy lately so I've been soloing it. I can do 20k solo a day but need to be more disciplined. I loaned my red out for 2M though, another nice gain. I will get to 92k + before bed.



Day 4- Almost 20k done in not even 4 hours! Would have done more, but got busy with real life stuff.




Day 5-Awful day rcing, still was sick, but finally better, could do more but I'm just going to bed. I Bleed Duke Blue donated 10M so that made me feel better about not doing much.

Had 600k natures, sold for about 100M. Have this amount left. Runners haven't been on lately. "busy" I guess


I've had a couple of people asking me how running works and what they get for it.

Here's what I'm doing:

The whole point of running is to make it so that I get more nats per day than I could soloing it. This is a win win situation for everyone.

Here is what you need if you want to run for me:
Glories ( I will recharge)
Ess (you buy the first 1k, but I provide ess in 1k increments after that, so you don't spend much at all!)
Members (to access the abyss)
background knowledge of the abyss.

You trade me the ess, I make more nats per trip.

Now, here's how I'm doing it. The amount of ess I have, I will have 300M leftover buying the purple, assuming we can get it fast enough (the phat obviously may rise, but hopefully drop).

I'm going to make a log on the first page of Sythe users that run the most for me. The amount of users that run at least 25k+ ess for me will be placed on the log as priority runners. Priority runners are going to get a cut of the 300m, divided between however many priority members there are. Say you're first on the log, and only one other runner ran. Well then you're getting 200M, the other guy 100M. I'll go into the ratios later, but the more you do, the more gp you're going to get. Win win for all of us. I am basically "renting" your help. So basically your time isn't wasted ultimately, you're going to profit just like I am. Win Win for everyone. Let me know if you want to run!

If you don't wish to run, there IS an alternative. You can donate as much gp as you want, really not a donation more like an investment. The way this works is say you give me 10M, I'll count it as 100k ess run in my log down below. The pot is going to be 300M gold, probably closer to 400m, because Natures continue to rise. The people who are the highest on my log (right now only drchains would be getting paid, nobody else has helped nearly enough to qualify) will split the 300-400M pot. This way, you basically get a large return on your initial investment. And you know you can trust me, I have already received over 100M in investments and could get the Purple now if I wanted to, but I'm NOT selling my ess because that runner pot of gold money is not mine to spend .

Yeah man, it was pathetic, I even tried to reason with him, saying we could split the hats, but he wouldn't have any of it. I'm not sure what he ended up doing with them, I know he hasn't come to my house since. He really let a friendship deteroriate over Runescape...pretty sad but that's how some people are. I could cry about it or work hard to get it back, I have picked the latter. While I'll probably never reach the set now, I'll work hard to get back to Yellow, Purp, Green, and Red. Purple is definitely looking possible though, I'm not too far off.

I'll give you guys daily updates, updating my total nature count and maybe any other money I buy or get from friends, donations, etc. My motivation is really high right now, but the true test will come when school resumes how many I can do. Obviously school first priority, but I don't think it will be too much of a problem.

Update, still going tonight, going to hit 80k and then go to bed. Updated the picture at 78k because just felt like uploading it now as opposed to a bit later.

My friend said he will fish me sharks and rocktails for me until I attain my purple. An awesome gesture on his part . Fished me close to 1k sharks today, so it may not be much (a little under 2m), but his effort is highly appreciated and every bit helps.

I've had a few people offer to run for me, a really cool gesture as well. I can promise some sort of compensation for helping me . I'm a generous player, so you'd end up being rewarded nicely for your generosity.

Unfortunately for me, Purples and rares in general seem to be on the rise, and Natures are dropping again. I can only hope this evens itself out, because if it doesn't this goal just got a lot harder. But I won't give up! I refuse to give up because I have a lot of people who are supporting me and helping me out any way they can. It really makes me happy to see there are people that care about other players, not just themselves....as cliche as that sounds.

I can usually make over 20k nature runes a day, without a runner, which is someone who just trades me the ess, I have done a whopping 50k before with a runner. I can usually do 20k in about 5 hours. This is a lot of time on the game obviously but with runners 20k is attainable in just a few hours

My friend usually donates me 1k sharks a day, starting yesterday. He gave me 1.1k last night

I also get 1-2M a day loaning out one of my phats for 24 hours. I usually just settle for 1.5M /24 hrs or 1m if I'm impatient

 

If you already have phats you should look into merching them, it's really easy to make 10-50M a day just buying low and selling higher.

 

Wow, I had no idea that RuneCrafting could potentially make that much money.

But I guess time and effort is the key.

Hey Mets im wondering how much exp per day you would get runecrafting?

 

@Duly: about 80-100k a day, so not a ton, if I did ZMI, I could probably do close to 500k/day.

500k might be a stretch, I've never actually done a full ZMI, I'm a traditional abyss rcer.

Update: Friend gave me 4m, I didn't runecraft this weekend because it was a ton of New Years festivities. But I got lucky in other ways, someone gave me a whopping 4M to borrow my partyhat for 24 hours. Just loaned it out again for 1.5M. So even doing nothing, I made some money. I did reach about 90,000 Natures too, so not a total loss of rcing. I'll be back on the grind tomorrow, maybe reaching 100k tonight, if I do, I'll screen shot it for ya .
