Just stand in the cell where you want the result, and use the function key or type out the function manually in the text box next to function key.

That’s the error code. And I’m typing the formula =IF(B6>B7,”YES”,”NO&#8221 Also, I should have mentioned earlier, I'm on Microsoft Excel 2003.

 

Try using this instead:

=IF(B6>B7;"YES";"NO")

You need to use ; instead of ,

Use "s, not the curly ones.

 

Do you mean italics? They happen automatically in the quote.

Is your Excel version the english version?
Cause in another language, the IF function wouldn't exist.

Update:
I've finally fixed it and I've got another problem now I've got this formula:

=IF(E9="Yes","=D6-D9","D6-0")

Yet when the answer is "=D6-D9", it doesn't do that, it just says in a cell "=D6-D9". Anyone know what to do?

 

You don't use "" when you're typing in a sum.

Try:

=IF(E9="Yes";D6-D9;D6-0)

Not sure why you put the last part as D6-0 though, it's the same as just D6 so it would be look better as:

=IF(E9="Yes";D6-D9;D6)
