    Smart phone. What to get.

I am planning on buying a smart phone. I was thinking of the Iphone 4S, what are you guys opinion?

I will be doing the normal use, but I also want to be able to go on runescape. I would only be dealing with the grand exchange, nothing else on runescape.

I don't want something really hardcore where the battery dies really quickly, but I want something that can definetly handle runescape, just the grand exchange.

    What are your thoughts?

Just the grand exchange database, or legit logging on rs?

I assume he just wants to check prices when hes out.

If your a fan of Apple products and you have a lot of music in iTunes then I would say go for the iPhone.

Apple probably has the best browser but if you want the speed then get a 4G phone, I would recomend Verizon.

On the Gadget Show (If you've heard of it?) they did a test on 4G. If I can remember rightly it was quicer than Wi-Fi on a 3G signal or something like that. :) Sorry can't find a video for it.

Lmao so many lost people in this thread.
    1. iPhones suck. Terrible specs, don't support Java, don't support 4G...
    2. The best phone out currently would be the Samsung Galaxy Nexus.
    3. I recommend waiting for CES (Consumer Electronic Show) starting January 10th where all the big companies reveal their product for Q1 and Q2.
    4. If you were to get the GN, Verizon supports very good, true 4G LTE service that is fast.
    5. You can't directly play Runescape from any smartphone.
    6. However, you can use applications such as Teamviewer to connect to your home computer from your smart phone while your away from home. Enabling you to control your computer remotely, thus letting you log in and check.
    7. Such applications can be slow and some that you can buy are better than others, but it's the best available right now for what you want to do.

Since I know you are going to ask this I'll just answer it right now.
I phone's don't support flash. There have been apps made to "fake" support, but it doesn't give the full function of flash. They can load pictures and videos but they take a very long time.

All in all, get the GN or wait for a new phone in a few months. Get an application that allows you to remotely access your computer. Check the Grand Exchange while in class and have fun.

    :)

iPhones are not compatible with java, and even if it was, it probably still wouldn't be able to run Runescape. If your looking for a smartphone which can run RS, I don't think you will get much luck, even with the best phones on the market.

They are also the most overpriced and expensive when you consider the specs.

Although iPhones are behind technology wise, it's a clean looking phone and the ease of use is through the roof.

I'd go with the iPhone. It's user friendly and with an app called "Cloudbrowse" I think, you can log on RS - though it'd be obviously difficult to move around, etc. I recharge my iPhone every 2-3 days, and I use it a fair amount, so the battery life isn't bad. And with the variety in app's, it's the perfect phone to me :D
