What is your New Years Resolution?

Well Sythe! Another year is approaching and I guess one of these threads are required. What is your new years resolution !?

Mine is to become a better Muslim and go one year without juice/soft drink to help my weight loss journey.

Note: Please don't be a retard on this thread as I will not hesitate to report unrelated posts for spam and don't hate on other peoples new years resolution.

 

These would probably be my goals:

- Regain the vestige of my six-pac and maintain it throughout the year.
- Reform my studying habits (non-existent) so I achieve an ATAR of 99.65, and a UMAT in the 90 percentile range.
- Improve my fitness.

 

I dont make them, honestly I forget them or get sick of them within 10 days.

 

I have two main goals that im working towards.

~ Get back on my workout plan, and stay on it this time.
~ Get a job.

The second one has not been an easy task.

You have to be committed to acheive goals in life. You cant always expect for life to go your way.

Try the app [MyFitnessPal] you track what you eat and also track workouts which - the food you eat. That way, if you're trying to loose wait, you aim for a low calorie intake with cardio per day [1k-1.5k calories per day] or a average calorie intake based on your BMR and additional protein to gain mass.

 

Not something I'm going to attach complete committment to. But...

1. Fitness, get muscular definition again.
2. Finish novel.
3. Complete nanowrimo

 

1. Get back into shape and bodybuilding since I was on a break for a few months because of a medicine I was taking at the time. Starting January 1, 2012. (will be easy for me )
2. Get back into college (just signed up for spring semester)
3. Actually learn how to study and not get frustrated when I do. (will be a tough one)
4. Move into my dream house before summer starts. (If I do good in college then this should also come into existence for me.)
5. Get my movie I wrote with my dad supported by someone and have it made. (Will be my biggest goal of the year yet.)
6. Expand my family business.

To your goal. I haven't drank any sugared sodas for over 5 years now. All I drink is water, protein shakes/fruit smoothies and freshly made orange juice. Believe me, it may be hard at first but if you can survive at least one week without that stuff, then you will lose that taste bud and move on to something else. Just tell yourself you can do it.

If you want, try out Zevia, it is a carbonated drink but doesn't have any calories but does have a sweet taste with natural ingredients. (If they do sell that brand around your area.) If they do sell it it can help out alot. You can also get it online. It's awesome!

 

Attempt to follow the dharma (teachings of Buddha) and see if it improves my life.

 

Yea, Tas to be precise. I'll be taking: Legal Studies, Biology, Economics, Sociology, and HAP Philosophy next year.

 

Mine would be to get back into working out instead of just doing it once a month or something when im bored. And also to study hard at maritime college.

 

Yeah, I'll see how I go, gotta soldier on and get through it though LOL.

Hmmm, I got some eco notes which might help you out. You in year 11 from 2012 or year 12?

 

Pray 5 times a day.

Also, school wise, actually study for college entrance exams this year, so in 2 years when I take them I am prepared.

 

^I think this is one of the hardest things to do as a muslim. The willpower to go out of your way at the required times to perform prayers. Inshallah you will achieve your resolution.

 

My new years resolution is to start clean. No drinking/Drugs. New friends and go to chruch...

 

Year 12 in 2012. Apparently Economics was hard for Tas this year (25.9 out of a maximum 26 for a perfect score). I fail to see what's so hard about: Explain the concept of demand.

LOL! I would shit bricks if I got that question. There is like.. so much to talk about and elaborating on demand would be over a 10-15 page essay. If put on the spot, your structure would suck cause you wouldnt know where to start..

btw, it seems like 90% of the people which have posted here are attempting to achieve a fitness goal..

 

Mine is going to get 99 strength and 99 magic on Runescape starting on a new account, try and max a g-maul rusher.
