Most Secure Way to Sell?

I stopped playing runescape actively a couple years ago, and I'm looking to sell my account and the gold on it.

My question to all of you, is what is the most secure way to sell it? I don't necessarily have to get the maximum amount of cash out if it, I just need the highest guarantee I'll ACTUALLY get the money. Considering I only intend on selling this one time, I can't afford get to hit with a chargeback or fraudulent website.

I have a level 125 account with tons of perks (house, minigame stuff, fire cape, quest perks etc, and near 400 mil in cash and items).

I need to know if you all think it would be best to try to sell it here, or if there is a reliable reseller website I could sell directly to? Also would it be wise to sell the cash separately or with the account?

Finally I have a price check thread going that I would love some input on, thanks all!

(note: I am a new member and since I'm really just looking to sell my account and leave the game with some real world cash, I have no way of gaining vouches or anything, advice?)

 

Well, Sythe is the most legit place I've came across. There are sites that buy accounts, however none of them have a solid reputation.

To maximize profits, I would advice to sell your account and the gold seperately. When selling your gold, I suggest you use one of the more trustworthy gold sellers here on Sythe. They pay you a more than fair price and you can rest assured you will not be scammed (don't fall for imposters though). From what I've seen and from what I've been told, following Sythe users have handled loads of RSGP and are highly trustworthy:

The account will be quite hard to sell as the market isn't too good for them nowadays. However with some patience you may find the right buyer!

I'v seen everywhere from $.5 to $1, would $.6ish be reasonable to get as a new (and vouch-less) user?

Yes, 0.60/M would be the best price you can be getting as of lately. Some payment methods hold fees which are probably on your cost and would thus get deducted from the price. I wouldn't accept PayPal on most occasions as payments are rather easy to revert, but it's free of fees and would be getting you the best price. Due to the risk, I wouldn't consider accepting it from anyone other than those users that I've told you about earlier. Since they are highly trusted and actually make a living from merching RSGP, you can rest assured they won't be risking their reputation by charging back a 400M deal.

You may be a perfectly fine person, but I'v heard and read so many scamming stories that I really want to sell to someone with a significant reputation, even if I dont get quite as much :\

anyways, the safest way to sell gold is Western Union. No chargebacks there.
Or for lower amounts use PlayerAuctions

 

The safest way to sell would be WU/Mail, assuming "safest" means chargeback prevention. However, no one will trade you with WU/Mail without an OMM, and WU has moderate fees to pay. The OMM and WU all have fees to account for, remember.

If you don't mind paying about a 10% fee, you can sell via Playerauctions. They disburse via PayPal. However, sometimes they take months to pay out, but this has only happened a few times; usually it's within a few days. That's another risk to account for. On the other hand, you can't get a chargeback from this, which is a nice thing to have

Yet another way to sell would be through direct PayPal. This method usually has no fees (and if it does then it's only pennies). However, like you stated earlier, you are prone to chargebacks. If going with this, I highly recommend you trade with highly trusted users who buy bulk gold, like those mentioned earlier. You can expect $0.55-$0.65 from this by selling to a bulk seller.
