    i was browsing sythe.org and my norton showed an alert of a attack on my pc. idk if its sythe related or what. mabey a coincidence? this is the info i got off norton about the attack.

    attacking computer: 178.17.163.189, 80
    attacker url: fidral.com/news
    trffic descripition: TCP, www-http

    That fidral.com/news looks like a Java drive-by to me. It's not Sythe related unless you clicked a malicious link.

    MAKE SURE you do NOT log in with anything important and don't fill in ANY important information.

    Did your norton succesfully stop the attack?
    I recommend downloading and running the following free programs:

    http://www.malwarebytes.org/
    http://www.superantispyware.com/
    And do a full scan on your computer with norton.

    After running the programs and it says your computer is safe do the following:
    Press control alt delete and go to your system processes.
    Fill in the exact names of all processes here: http://www.processlibrary.com/
    You will see most of them are safe, but there might be one that's malicious (as a virus scanner doesn't always remove all threats).

    thanks, norton had succesfully stopped the attack, then i right away scanned with malwarebytes. there was no malicious software on my pc.

    Could've been a false positive malicious content from google ads or such.

    Ntohing to worry about if you haven't found anything ;]

    Yeah, sometimes there is no harm, just make sure you use Anti-virus :)

    My AVG on my laptop always blocks something on sythe, not sure what it is but it blocks it, I guess its an ad

    sometimes your antivirus haywires, if i were you run a full scan with a different antivirus to make sure nothing is going on.
