Honestly, all I see in reports is "Changed title for you, thanks" "Dealt thanks" "Done thanks"

And I KNOW they will be dealt sometime after I report right? Even if it takes 2-3 days. I support this. No need to be seen honestly.

I'd rather have it out in the open but it really doesn't matter to me.

I like the see that my reports are dealt with, and Sengria's point is very valid. The mods aren't always 100% correct and if they close the report and nothing is done about it you can always PM them and reason with them which gives them another viewpoint.

Basically, my point is that if a moderator had just started doing reports AFTER a thread was bumped, the bump would pretty much be wasted and then it'd be 24 hours later until we'd be able to bump again. Get my point?

With the quoted post I suggested, users would still be able to see their completed reports, just not the same moment the report was done.

The new posts page changes so often that reports don't really make a difference....

The point is that a recently bumped thread wouldn't do anything if it's just going to be spammed with spam reports on the new posts page..

That would just cause unnecessary workload for the moderators, archiving them again in another sub-section after already archiving them? Also, your justification for this entire suggestion is the fact that at a certain time that it clogs up New Posts. Honestly, I don't even think New Posts is that much of a deal. Anyway, I just went on it and it's all normal to me, so I bet the only time it gets clogged is when moderators do spam reports, and it's not like they take hours, I think waiting a bit wouldn't hurt anyone. I mean, sure, it could get annoying sometimes, but weighing the pros against the cons, I don't think this suggestion should be passed.

But, if there's a way to code the page so RaSp and RaSc posts don't appear there, I wouldn't be against that if it didn't take a considerably amount of time.

Honestly I see no reason at all that this outweighs the consequences. Over the course of the months, I've had numerous reports that I misinterpreted or didn't really do fully because of hastiness. Also, sometimes server issues can mean that a thread/post wasn't closed/deleted like requested. I'm always really grateful for somebody to read through their report and mention that I didn't do it correctly.

On the other hand, I doubt hardly anybody uses the New Posts feature. IMO, the only reason people go is if they want to farm post count... You're asking to sacrifice something that has a lot of usefulness for something that is only to get people's e-pen larger.

The suggestion about being archived after an hour or two is, I think, too much to have to mess with.

Log out and do new posts. Spam reports are hidden to unregistered users.
