How is it? Is it worth getting?

 

It's definitely worth getting in my opinion

 

What can you do in it?
Are there any major bugs at the moment?
Can you fly through space and such?
How good are the graphics for an MMO?
How many levels are there?

 

I'd like to know the same thing. Everyone was saying it was going to be a "WoW Killer". Doesn't look that good.

 

I've watched a few videos on it now, it doesn't look at all to be something like a "WoW killer".

It looks like any other MMO imo. I might give a trial a try - If there is one that is.

 

There isn't a trial I don't think, not yet anyway. They should do one so everyone can see what it's like before buying. I know WoW does this.

 

WoW does a trial that lasts forever. There is so much content from levels 1-20 in all the race/classes ATM, that I haven't bought WoW yet and don't plan to any time soon.

The reason I don't think it's going to be a WoW killer is because an MMO is a social experience - that is what differentiates it from an RPG. If only 1 kid switchers, they are gonna have a shit time. So it's really an all or nothing situation.

 

Anyone know how much the monthly subscription costs?
I know you get 1 month free just by purchasing the game, but if it seems a little steep monthly I'd rather not get it to begin with...

 

As for bugs, only major ones I've seen, corpses don't always fall to the ground - they stay standing.

Space - Yes, I believe so. But that's not until later in the game.

Graphics - Similar to WoW to be honest.

Levels - 50 right now.

 

Standard it's £8.99 here. Not sure how much that will be in dollars. Interesting that you get the first month free.

 

SWTOR is 100x better than WoW. I've been playing WoW since 05, and SWTOR since beta a couple of months ago, and SWTOR has everything you need. Beautiful cinematics, great graphics, a nice community, companions, awesome crafting, PvP(I still prefer WoW's, but huttball is awesome!) and the best part: a story! It makes every quest so much more interesting. Definitely recommend it.

 

Yeah, one thing about the quests that makes it amazing is the fact that there's full voice overs for EVERY quest.

It honestly did not sound intriguing to me when I first heard about it, but after watching a couple game play videos, it definitely does look very interesting.

This game is beginning to look more and more interesting to me, but I probably won't play until there is a free trial. I'm surprised one hasn't come about yet. A trial would be very helpful considering I don't even know if my PC can run it yet.

 

Tip of advice, if you suck at self control and need to focus on school, don't get this game.

 

Where can you buy it?

 

Too be more complete:

You can quest, PVP, do trade skills, and interact in space battles. Most of what you may expect from an MMORPG.

You may not freely fly through space, though you may take part in many "Space Missions" where you combat against the opposing factions in various environments within "Escort" and "Objective" tasks.

The graphics are very good for an MMORPG. Comparing with something of the Gears of War 1 look, SWTOR does a fine job of looking great, though you may need a new PC [or components] to run it smoothly.

50 levels of skill-building, with 4+ tiers of end-game equipment that I can recall. Having 48 total classes [including all factions and specifications] there are many adventures to be had. Some quests are only available to certain classes, giving you at least 16 different story quest lines to adventure on from levels 1-50.

 

to be honest,most mmos that are released are too hyped up,this game is FAR from a WoW killer. This game will die soon.
