Phone Shopping

I live in the US and Im looking for a new phone service, but i dont really want to pay alot. Ive heard of Metro PCS and Boost Mobile, but people tell me Metro has horrible service. I dont mind the service as much, but i want a good phone. I went to the Metro and Boost websites and they have good plans, its just that the phones they have suck IMO. They seem cheaply made and ugly. I dont want a contract with a company. Boost mobile would be great if they had better phones.


So what im asking is, does anyone have experience in these two companies or know any better companies with better phones?

Is there a way to get a good phone such as an HTC with Metro, Boost or another non contract company?

 

You could always buy an unlocked phone you like from ebay, amazon, craigslist, etc. then buy a sim card from Boost. Then you can set up whatever plan you want, with a phone you like.

 

This will probably be your best bet. Buying an unlocked phone, and putting your sim card into it works like a charm. I for one am on TMobile and have an iPhone, because its unlocked.

They're pretty cheap on craigslist and what not, you can probably find a 3GS on there for less than 100 bucks.

 

Sprint has a fairly good unlimited everything plan for $70 a month and they've got great phones.

 

I use Virgin Mobile. I get ragged on a lot for it, but I don't care because...

~ They have a lot of nice phones to choose from (including androids).
~ The service isn't as good as say Verizon, but still is not bad at all.
~ I get unlimited texting, unlimited data, unlimited internet, and 300 talk minutes for my droid for only $35 a month.

 

Find a unlocked iPhone, There the best phones ever made.
