    New Year's Resolution/Pardon - Coming Clean

Hello faculty and members of Sythe,
As most of you know, I was banned earlier this year for selling a guide that I had previously sold the resale rights to. I had made a pardon request which received 5 supports in the initial stage but must have been denied in the second stage. I would like to opportunity to reinstate my return to sythe. What stupid and irresponsible mistake I made, and I am truly sorry for it. I did not realize it at the time, but I know that I deserved to be punished for my actions, and now understand why there was no support on my pardon. I was foolish, and I have regret that day, May 11th, 2011, ever since, wishing it had never happened as it haunt me more than anything. I was trusted as a mod, to be an example, and I made the mistake of doing the exact thing I was hired to prevent. I let the community down, the moderating team, and worst of all, myself. Soon after my ban, I was contacted by a few people that I had ongoing trades with that were not finished including…

300M payment kerokerocola – He had loaned me the money from earlier that month and I still had owed him 75m (which back then was more than $1/m). Cfskiffingt1 was the mod that contacted me about it; the payment was made in full. Corey was very pleased with me that I paid my dues even though I was banned.
20M payment to JacobFuglyM – I had purchased a razer deathadder gaming mouse from his irl shop. He had already shipped the item when I got banned, I still made my payment. See thread: http://sythe.org/showthread.php?t=1117293
http://img156.imageshack.us/img156/6100/gotmouse.png - screenshot from msn window, trade was complete, see date, that was after my ban.

If I meant to scam a $5.00 guide, I would not have went back to pay people $100 worth of gp that I still owed them, it makes no sense. I really wanted to clear my name and would mean the world to me if I still had the opportunity to do so. I was a very well-known member around the site, and a very helpful one at that and I would be always in debt if I were allowed to be back a part of a wonderful community. For me it was not about making money like some are here for, it is the friends I made and the people I helped and I would do anything to reconnect with those people and get back to being a valid and worthy part of the sythe community.

There is also something I wish to come clean about, I have ban evaded. I am deeply sorry. I missed being on the community and after my last pardon I realized it was wrong. I did not have the right to bypass the system like that. It was unfair for me to return to the site without being allowed back. Basically this account was created by my brother shortly after I joined. He was very inactive and a few months went by after my ban, I decided to login to it to just harmlessly post around. I did not just post around in normal sections, I became a seller of various things and accumulated 40+ vouches. It was a mistake and it haunts me that I would try beat the system. Here is the profile that I have been using; I needed to get that off my chest more than anything: http://sythe.org/member.php?u=208390

Since my ban last year, my life has changed drastically. I am now in college. I am going for a degree in physical education. I have met many people and my entire lifestyle of living has changed. I realize that a return to sythe would be just like starting a new school. I would have to overcome many things to be truly viewed as the person I was before. I’m not saying that it is going to be easy, but with this chance, I can prove to you that I can become the person you trusted naming a moderator on your site once again. Looking passed the bad times, remembering the good times, here is what I did during my time on sythe…

    My history/contributions to the site:
    • Over 2 years on the site (March 2009 – May 2011)
    • Very active, would get on daily for hours at a time
    • Only 3 infractions on my account, ever: 2 Spamming, 1 Ignoring the Stickies
    • 5 months on the sythe staff – both the world of warcraft and market section
    • Well over 100 vouches of successful trades (http://sythe.org/showthread.php?t=721617)
    • Never previously accused/reported for scamming
    • Many helpful stickies created in the market and wow section (some of them have been re-written since my ban)
    • Attempt to bring the wow community together in formation of a guild – took weeks of my time to create to have exactly what the community wanted (leaders, realm, faction, etc.)
    • Donation to the site of $25.00 USD

I want to thank the staff of sythe for giving the option for people who have made these mistakes a chance to have this, thank you. I realize that you cannot change your past, what’s done is done. But I can still shape my future, and I want my future to be free of mistakes, especially one that disappoints all of those who trusted me and all of the people closest to me on that I had the opportunity of acquainting here on sythe. I am not a scammer; I am a human that made a mistake. Thanks for reading.
Hope everyone here on sythe had a great holiday season! Happy New Year!

With the amount of time you've spent on the site, you should've known the rules regarding ban evading.
There is no way I'll be supporting this because of the fact that you ban evaded knowingly.

Don't like the ban evading, but would still consider this appropriate to be sent upstairs.

Correct me if I am wrong, but didn't you submit a pardon since I was a global? If so, you are not eligible until 6 months has elapsed.

in response to http://sythe.org/showthread.php?t=1304666, please add to that thread.
Corey - Yes i did make a pardon about 2 months ago. I was following the thread for a while and the thread just disappeared. I also was feeling guilty more than anything about the evading ans I knew that I needed to confess. If you do close this thread the next time I can make one is in May
