It'd be easier to assess if we had the original C4D. If you did the bulk of the work, you did a great job. There are, of course, things you can improve on: the lighting on the left ends too abruptly and, though this probably wasn't your main focus, the "lightning bolts" are way too sharp for 1px lines. It would also be interesting to see a bolt extend downward, providing a bit of light away from the main source.

Edit: Also, when your aspect ratio is so close to square, it improves the piece to adjust the focus (in this case, the light source) to meet the rule of thirds. It might not be worth the trade-off on this piece because you presumably started with a C4D and you don't have many choices. If you choose to give it a shot, it would require you to move the light source to the left, slice a portion from the left, or add some content (and substantial blurring) to the right.

The piece is actually like 5 C4Ds that are layered to possibly try to make a cohesive image. Yeah and I just noticed the blockiness of a couple of the 1 px lines.

It's an improvement from what you showed me on msn, but it still needs the colours changed up. The cyan, yellow and pink just don't look right together. Perhaps even black and white would look better?

Too many colors that don't fit together properly. Try to stick to just like two or three colors.

Can you please explain this? Because according to my complete knowledge of colour theory, there are things called 'palettes' that contain more than two or three colours.

    Hehe.

As Tr1bal said a palette can contain many colors, no just one or two. How do you think the Sistine Chapel got painted? Two colors. haha

I really like the lighting effects (as the title suggests).
The flow is also nice, but the piece does seem a bit chaotic.

Yeh, guess you prove me kinda wrong there. I shoulda stated it differently :S my bad. I just meant that there are some colors that go well together and others don't. Some people just throw together random colors. Nero's piece however is pretty sick :)
